Job description
Our client is looking for an Assistant Adviser (Science and Regulatory Affairs) to contribute and assist in developing, communicating and delivering their science and regulatory affairs policies and projects. This role is key in co-ordinating and supporting a technically diverse and highly skilled team. You will be particularly involved with their work on plant health as well as on farm safety and skills projects. You will also be the secretariat for their national decision-making cross-sector group, Policy Board. Experience in organising meetings, taking minutes and providing efficient secretariat skills is therefore highly desirable.
You will also be required to develop articles and newsletters on emerging issues, under the guidance of technical experts, showing creativity and strong communication skills. You will contribute to the reach of the Science and Regulatory Affairs work and messages, promoting the team’s activity via newsletters, publications and social media.

Assistant Adviser Requirements:

Are you a conscientious individual, who is highly organised and who likes working with people? Our client is looking for someone who is a great team player, with the ability to work proactively, accurately and to deadlines.
You will be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to synthesise and communicate technical and complex information for a non-technical audience. You will either possess or be keen to develop an interest in farming issues and the agricultural industry. You will have experience of secretariat duties, project management, web publishing and social media.
