Oakham, Leicestershire
£9.10 - £10.50 per hour

Job description
This isn’t your standard Carer job, this is a truly unique opportunity for someone to be the Carer and Personal Assistant for a high profiled disabled ex-rugby player, employed directly by the client, and based in his home in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside.

The client has a high-level spinal cord injury resulting in being paralysed from the neck down and is on a ventilator 24/7, so the successful candidate will play a key role in enabling him to do what he does best, and that’s give back to others, through his successful charity. Plus, he doesn’t take life too seriously and wants to live life to the full, with plenty of travel, nice food and is great company too.

Care Assistant Responsibilities:

The role would involve assisting the client with all aspects of his daily care, including personal care, travel and work commitments. He may have a spinal cord injury, but still leads a very active lifestyle, so requires a strong and reliable team around him.

The environment that you would work in is not clinical, it’s a home. The client would like to keep it that way. Family is very important to him so the ideal candidate would have similar outlooks on life.

Care Assistant Requirements:

The ideal candidate would thrive on new challenges as well as relish the chance to be involved within his outstanding team. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a strong team player who’s reliable and hardworking, with impeccable standards of care, and great company.

Although previous caring experience would be an advantage, it’s not essential as you’ll receive all the training you need, but you would be required to hold a full UK driving licence.

If you feel you are outgoing, fun-loving and believe you could enhance this person’s life, they would love to hear from you!
