They are looking for a Commercial Manager to who will consistently aim to develop their services to ensure they are delivering value for money for their students and to the highest possible standard. The Commercial Manager will stay up to date with sector trends and work closely with NUS and other external partners to maximise benefits potential for income generation across out outlets, retail offer and events.
This role will cover day to day running of their three commercial outlets and the development of a strategy to diversify the students’ union’s income streams through commercial sales, growing their merchandise offer, and working with both internal and external partners to maximise their growth potential. The role will focus on ensuring their spaces and their offer remain student focused and will work hard to ensure they are delivering cost effective commercial services.
This role is ideal for anyone who has hands-on experience of working with young people or students, within a hospitality setting. You should have an enthusiastic and a high energy approach to your work with excellent organisation and communication skills. You should be passionate about connecting with people, have ability to build relationships quickly, a reputation for being reliable and trustworthy and can work well on your own as well as part of a team. You will be committed to their values of equity and inclusion with a passion for ensuring their students have access to work opportunities through their services during their time at UAL. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and will be proud to support other areas of work across the students’ union.
