Director of Services - Maternity Cover

Do you want to deliver this challenging agenda? As the Director of Services you will be working effectively with partner organisations including Local Authority and the NHS, other providers and both national and local charities.

Director of Services Responsibilities:

The Director of Services will play a strong leadership role within the organisation; responsible for the day-to-day management, safe operation and continuous improvement of their organisation and its front-line services that support people with visual impairment and other disabilities. You will ensure strong reporting, performance management; governance and accountability mechanisms are in place across all front line services.

These services include:

- Day Services, centred around a large, specialist day care centre;
- Community Visual Impairment Services operating across the area;
- Low Vision clinics and specialist support;
- Supported Living services in a 14-unit scheme

You will be able to deputise effectively for the CEO and, as part of the Senior Leadership Team, ensure that Focus has strategic and operational plans that in turn deliver our charitable aims and key objectives: providing high quality services and improving access to support within a sustainable business model.

Director of Services Requirements:

- Experience in a senior leadership/director role in a health or social care setting
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
- Experience of leading outstanding regulated services (eg: CQC).
- Understanding of public services and the third sector and are looking to make a genuine impact on the lives of people affected by complex conditions.

They provide a wide range of services including low vision, independent living support, specialist advice, counselling and befriending, day services and supported living. They work closely with partner organisations to ensure that people have the best possible opportunities to live independently, make choices about their lives and improve their physical and emotional health and wellbeing.

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
