Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships

Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships Responsibilities:

The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships is responsible for leading all fundraising activity relating to our high net worth supporters including individuals, families, trusts and foundations, professional companies and the Andy Cole Fund.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Philanthropy and Partnerships strategy and operational plans, alongside effective solicitation of gifts, appropriate cultivation and stewardship of philanthropic partners.

This will include maximising the growth of, and value from, the charity’s current major givers and partnerships, recruitment of new supporters and the development of new income generating activities.

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Team is forecast to grow to c. £2 million of income.

Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships Requirements:

- Experience of securing major gifts
- Experience of managing philanthropic, partnership or relationship fundraising programmes
- Experience of developing successful major supporter acquisition and retention programmes
- Experience leading and managing a team
- Knowledge of philanthropic giving and relationship fundraising
- Understanding of fundraising regulation and Codes of Practice
- IT literate including Office 365 and fundraising databases (preferably Raisers Edge)
- Knowledge of data protection (DPA and GDPR)
- Previous experience in medical research and/or healthcare charities

Salary: £43,000 - £47,000 depending on experience
