To help them create these amazing partnerships, they need amazing people. Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join their Housekeeping team. This vital role, working in small team, is responsible for catering and cleaning for their clients and their guests.
Working alongside the Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for preparing for on-site training courses and other overnight visits by setting up rooms with equipment, planning menus and carrying out shopping for food and other supplies.
You will provide support to clients and other visitors on site, carry out laundry duty and clean rooms and other areas of the training centre, including deep cleaning.
It is important that you have some understanding of allergens and specific dietary requires as you will be preparing home cooked lunches and dinners using fresh ingredients for clients and guests staying or visiting the site.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to make people feel at ease, listen and empathise and communicate on all levels with a varied audience
- Ability to undertake some heavy/strenuous duties (e.g. cleaning, bed making, laundry)
- Ability to plan, prepare and cook both hot and cold meals
- Experience of providing cleaning services for business
- Ability to work flexibly
- Ability to work as part of a team to produce high quality results
Ideally, you will have some knowledge of human physical disabilities or experience of supporting clients with physical disabilities.
You will need to be comfortable with dogs in the work place as you will be working with clients receiving their assistance dogs on their courses and working within the training centre with dogs on the premises throughout most working areas.
Most importantly, you will be passionate about the transformative impact that their assistance dogs provide to their beneficiaries.
