Learning and Development Assistant

Care in Mind have an exciting opportunity for a Learning & People Assistant to join our friendly and professional team based within our Head Office based in Stockport, where you will support the People Service Department by providing support with Learning and Development processes and HR practices.

You will be required to work Monday to Friday over a 30 hour working week, which will involve hybrid working between the Head Office in Stockport and home working.

The closing date for this position is Tuesday 10th August and interviews will be held on Thursday 29th July and Thursday 12th August 2021.

As a Learning & People Assistant you will:

- To maintain the accuracy of the training matrix systems
- To maintain communication with the people services department on the training status of candidates logging information accurately.
- To ensure that new candidates are booked on induction training within the KPI timeframes
- To maintain candidate engagement whilst going through the onboarding and training process.
- To ensure that all internal employees are booked on mandatory training and for this to be reflected in the matrices
- To arrange all company training sessions with support from the People Coordinator, ensuring the necessary number of sessions are booked throughout the calendar year.
- To attend the location of induction training to be available for candidate queries and to assist the People Services team in taking relevant identity documents and onboarding paperwork.
- To ensure all trainers have relevant equipment and materials to deliver training.
- To ensure that all evaluation forms are submitted to attendees, information collated and analysed.
- To report monthly on training compliance for the Executive Departmental Report, providing narratives for lower compliance and actions to increase this. To report in line with KPI’s to ensure that training is being pushed to Outstanding compliance ratings.
- To manage the Learning and Development inbox and respond to general enquiries from staff, management and external stakeholders.
- To become the point of contact for Training providers and to arrange for staff to undertake apprenticeships.
- To provide administrative support to the People team.
- To support the Recruitment and People Assistant with onboarding and engagement of new staff members and complete onboarding checks in line with the Safer Recruitment Policy.

Requirements of a Learning & People Assistant

- Previous experience of working in an administrative role
- Understanding of HR and Learning and Development processes and procedures
- Experience of working in a HR/Learning and Development department
- Knowledge and experience of HR or Training Management System software
- Experience of dealing with high volumes of data input.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong IT skills including the use of spreadsheets, databases, email and word processing
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
- Strong problem-solving abilities in line with the People Services Competencies.
- Have access to a vehicle for work purposes with the ability to travel to the sites within the Care in Mind portfolio
- An ability to work from home where necessary – Wifi connection, suitable working space.

Desirable Criteria:

- Working towards an L&D or HR qualification
- Previous experience of working in health and social care industry
