Historic England - We are the public body that looks after England`s spectacular historic environment. We protect, champion and save historic places, helping people to understand, value, and care for them. Our successful Partnerships & Philanthropy team fundraises and generates earned income to enable us to work with more communities and specialists to share our passion, knowledge and skills, to rescue more heritage at risk and to educate more children across the country about the value of their shared heritage. This is an exciting time to join us in this new post in an expanding team.
As our new Partnerships Manager you will extend the work of the team to secure partnership funding from Government departments, public sector bodies and research councils, in support of agreed fundraising priorities and the organisation`s mission. Taking the lead in developing and delivering a new fundraising strategy for these sources of income, you will create lasting partnerships with these bodies and raise financial support for the wide variety of Historic England`s work. You will cultivate and steward potential supporters from Government departments, public sector bodies and research councils, as well as certain trusts and foundations, and work directly with the Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy to embed a fundraising culture across Historic England.
As a strong and compelling communicator you will have proven abilities to influence and persuade effectively through the development of formal funding applications and business cases, build positive relationships with people at all levels and inspire trust whilst commanding professional respect as you work both individually and within an effective team to represent Historic England internally and externally. Excellent organisational skills and your driven and ambitious approach to securing statutory funding will be an asset to you as you use your knowledge and expertise to grow and manage a portfolio of funding partners for Historic England.
Interviews will take place on 3 or 4 March at our offices in Cannon Bridge House in London.
We offer a wide benefits package including a competitive pension scheme, a generous 28 days` holiday, corporate discounts, free entry into English Heritage sites across the county and development opportunities to ensure you achieve your goals. Having just won the Gold Award from MIND, we also recognise the importance of a healthy work-life balance. Therefore, we offer the flexibility in your working day to create a pattern that works for you.
We are an equal opportunity employer which values diversity and inclusion. If you have a disability, we would be happy to discuss reasonable adjustments to the job with you. We are happy to consider part-time working for the right candidate, and can offer flexibility of location at any Historic England office.
We very much look forward to receiving your application.
