Job description

Are you passionate about supporting volunteers and giving them an excellent volunteering experience? Do you take pride in creating excellent communications, in terms of social media posts, newsletters, web content etc. If so, we'd love to have you join our small friendly team at Home-Start Lambeth.

*** please note the deadline for applications has been extended to midnight Saturday 15th January ***

Home-Start Lambeth seeks to improve the life chances of Lambeth children under 5. We do this through our peer support model of trained volunteers who work alongside experienced staff to invest their time in increasing the skills and knowledge of parents/carers. Our aim is to support families with the challenges they face so that they can better support their children’s development.

This role is could be worked from the office or home-based - this would be a discussion with the successful candidate. If home-based there would be an expectation to attend meetings at the office as required.

The role is 30 hours per week, the working days will be agreed with the successful candidate.

The current VCO says about the role:

“I really enjoy recruiting and talking to our team of volunteers! They’re a great group of people, all wanting to help other families who might be struggling with a variety of challenges. Being part of a small charity also helps you see the impact that’s being made, from reading volunteer reports on how they’ve helped a family overcome a difficult situation to seeing the impact of the Freedom programme (our education and support programme for people who’ve experienced Domestic Abuse).”

If you’d like to find out more about the role, please let us know and we will ask the current VCO to get in contact with you.
