The BeActive MCR project is part of thr wider Big Manchester partnership of voluntery sector organisations.
The Volunteer Coordinator will support and manage a team of volunteers who will provide mentoring support and/or group support for families wanting to become more involved in physical activity. This is a fantastic opportunity with access to the support and expertise of the wider Big Manchester partner organisations (Barnardos, Manchester MIND, Manchester Women's Aid and Change Grow Live).
Experience of supporting and managing volunteers; alongside a minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject is essential. A working understanding of the needs of families with complex issues and experience of working collaboratively with partner organisations is also essential. Experience of working with volunteers in a sports-related field would be desirable.
The hours of work are 18.5 a week (worked flexibly) including weekend and evening work. The post will involve some work from home, in the Manchester community and from the office in Ardwick. Disclosure and Barring Service check (Enhanced Level) will be required.
