Job description

Since 1994, Hope and Homes for Children has been working to stop the institutionalisation of children. We’re 250 people, in ten countries, inspiring organisations, including the UN, EU and governments around the world, to close the doors of orphanages forever. Instead, we fight for every child to feel the love and belonging of a safe family home.

Responsibilities

As Global Head of Grant & Institutional Funding Partnerships, you’ll play a leading role in the organisational development and growth of our programmatic funding portfolio, working largely with bi and multi-lateral funding partners spanning institutional donors to foundations and trusts. Leading a central, UK-based team of Grants Partnership fundraisers and supporting a small team of nationally based fundraisers in our countries of operation, you’ll facilitate the strengthening of our organisational capability and capacity to identify, win and successfully manage increasing levels of largely restricted funds.
As part of the Global Marketing, Communications & Fundraising team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues to ensure the work of the Global Grant & Institutional Funding Partnerships team is coordinated with and supports our wider efforts to increase our organisational impact.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll be an exceptional team player and leader, able to work as effectively with programme and finance colleagues as you can with fundraisers in the UK and internationally. You’ll have extensive experience and knowledge of working with bi and multi-lateral funders, ideally within an International Development context and you’ll be able to demonstrate how you have systematically grown national and international funding pipelines. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a can-do and collaborative working approach and a genuine passion for our work.

In return, we’ll provide you with the chance to have a real impact in a collaborative and ambitious organisation who are proud of what we do and the difference we make, and we will provide the opportunities and guidance to help you to develop and grow.

If you believe every child belongs in a family, then join us as we consign orphanages to history.
