The Hospice Charity Partnership, formed of Birmingham St Mary’s and John Taylor Hospices, provides expert palliative and end of life care for people and their families living with life-limiting illnesses. We believe that all people in Birmingham should have access to the best specialist care and support – when, where and how they need it.
About the role
Are you a creative and innovative communicator with a good knowledge of PR, excellent written and verbal skills, and a talent for graphic design? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as Communications & Marketing Officer!
This role will see you working as part of a small but busy team, delivering all hospice clinical and corporate marketing and communications activity. You will have excellent knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. You will be confident in email marketing and have experience of campaign management – including monitoring and analysing to report impact and drive future activity.
You will be a proactive communicator who takes the initiative, is able to prioritise and has a proven ability to meet tight deadlines. Reporting directly to the Head of Communications & Marketing, you will need to build and maintain good relationships with all internal stakeholders as well as develop relationships with external contacts from the local healthcare community, local press and media, and external suppliers.
With a solid background in copy creation, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and producing engaging and inspiring content to be shared across various internal and external channels, as well as working closely with your clinical and corporate colleagues to support them in sharing important messages to their audiences.
Experience in the non-profit sector is not essential, as we’ll provide a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing peer support.
