Coalville, Leicestershire

Contract, 25hrs per week, 6 Month Contract, likely extension, Part-time
Job description

Hospice Hope works within North West Leicestershire to support individuals who have a condition that leads to a reduction in quality of life or who have been diagnosed with a life limiting condition as well as offering support to their partner or carer.

It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining our organisation. Our small team of dedicated staff and trustees have big plans. Our charity is building a state-of-the-art facility in North West Leicestershire which will provide vital community care and support. We are re-branding and refreshing but we will always do what we do best – help people who need it the most.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Services Lead within our team. The post is being funded by some of our funding partners and will therefore initially run for 6 months and we are confident the role will develop, and further funding will be secured.

The primary function of the role will be to run our established befriending service and develop this particular area of the charity in conjunction with all other services.

The role will be required to work in the community of North West Leicestershire but a flexible approach will be vital, working at our day centre in Griffydam and travelling around the local area to meet guests and volunteers.

The Support Services Lead will be key to the development of our community-based services and will be essential in ensuring our guests are being offered the correct services at the correct time and to suit their needs best. Working in conjunction with the leads in all of our services, they will develop existing and new relationships within the community and raise the profile of our organisation at all times.

Whilst this position is advertised for one month we will close it early if we have a sufficient number of suitable applicants.
