Hospice in the Weald has cared for adults with a terminal illness, and those important to them, for over 40 years. Now, we are launching a Service for Children and Young People, to meet unmet need in the local area. This is a big step and an exciting time to join our team, as we develop the Service and begin to support children, young people, and their families.
The service will begin by providing care for children in their own homes. You will be responsible for designing and leading the service. This is a really exciting opportunity for an experienced person to help shape the new service to meet the needs of local families across Kent & East Sussex.
Our culture focuses on empowering our staff to deliver the best possible care, and there is plenty of support on hand to make this possible, along with excellent development opportunities.
As the Head of Children’s Service you will support a variety of children and young people with life-limiting conditions. The role includes:
- Leading the development of the Service, ensuring children’s participation influences Service design and implementation.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders, sources of referral and collaborating organisations
- Managing staff within the service to provide the best possible care for children, young people and those important to them
Hospice in the Weald is based in beautiful surroundings and offers a generous pension scheme or the ability to transfer an NHS pension, excellent training and career development opportunities, subsidised restaurant, free parking, and a generous holiday allowance amongst many benefits.
If you would like to be part of the development of an outstanding new Service for children, young people and their loved ones, please apply now.
