What is the role?
Main responsibilities:
- Delivery of monthly financial dashboard for Leadership Team and Board; on time, accurate and with clear explanations and insight
- Delivery of regulatory returns and lender requirements on time and accurate
- Delivery of budget planning reports and analysis to Leadership Team and Board
- Timely advice and insight from the team including pro-active support and challenge for Directors and Budget Holders
This role is offering a salary of circa £74,000 per annum, with 2 days a week in their Redhill office.

One of the UK’s largest housing associations are recruiting a new Capital Accounting Manager.
What we’re looking for:
- Do you possess a CCAB accountancy or other qualification with post qualification experience in the housing, real estate or property sector?
- Are you an effective Manager practiced in gaining the best out of a team with contrasting levels of experience?
- Are you experienced in fixed assets accounting, specifically accounting for housing properties and investment properties?
- Are you confident in working with large complex data, with an ability to streamline and promote data quality, working with managers across the organisation and internal teams to improve the quality and integrity of data?
- Do you have current line management experience?
- Are you a strong user of Excel and systems?
- Are you an excellent communicator? Specifically, in influencing and the ability to develop business networks and work collaboratively with various stakeholders?

A bit about the role:
As a Group Capital Accounting Manager, you will provide accounting support on all areas related to fixed assets and grants, manage the reporting of fixed assets both from a Group and a subsidiary perspective and be key in delivering a successful audit process liaising with external auditors. You will manage the team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of Fixed asset accounting records. Some of the key results for the role include:
- To maintain the Fixed Asset Register, Grant Register, Investment Property Register and Other Fixed asset register updates
- Work with internal stakeholders where required to ensure all registers are updated on a timely basis with accurate information and reconciling each register to the General Ledger at each reporting period.
- Provide effective and appropriate challenge of the business area to minimise financial risk and implement controls.
- Line manage the team to ensure a consistent and reliable service to stakeholders.
- Facilitate the completion of audit queries for the relevant directorates.
- Lead on the year-end valuation of investment properties from a finance perspective.
This role will require a minimum of 1 day a week working in the central London office.

With one of their main focuses being Older People and Housing, they are now searching for an Assistant Housing Manager, to join their London based team, initially on a 15-month maternity cover, fixed term contract.
As an Assistant Housing Manager you will work closely with the Housing Manager to support the delivery of operational efficiency across the Company's six residential sites and services for 206 residents, including leasehold. You will provide excellent customer service to residents and work to ensure that each site is safe, secure and compliant with regulatory requirements. As well as, supporting the development and implementation of new systems and processes, providing guidance on Housing policies and procedures and working closely with the finance team to manage rental income and invoice payment. You will also deputise in the absence of the Housing Manager.
Individuals with a background in property management and knowledge of housing benefits are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in IT and database management is essential, alongside exceptional customer service skills and administration skills.
Please note, this is a full-time role, 32.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday and you will be required to work on-site at their offices, based in Bank. Occasional visits to the schemes and national travel, may be required. Work from home days will be considered, depending on service need.

The role:
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Property and Development will oversee the provision of high-quality asset management and repair services in-line with PBHA values and strategic objectives. Working closely with the Director of Services, the successful candidate will aid in the identification, management and acquisition of opportunities that will enable PBHA’s strategic growth. The role will help to ensure that PBHA’s work, and homes, meet building standards, health and safety obligations, regulatory framework, and will always provide a high-quality service to PBHA tenants.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Spearhead line-management of PBHA’s Property and Development Team through performance management and handling employee relations issues if necessary.
- Organise and coordinate work programmes.
- Lead Housing Development programmes ensuring compliance with building standards, health and safety and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, induction and onboarding of team members.
- Participate in on-call rota and respond appropriately to out of hours incidents.
- Provide strategic and operational direction to enhance the long-term management and investment objectives of the property portfolio.
- Ensure PBHA’s assets are surveyed and data records are established and upheld to monitor property condition.
- Oversee and manage stock improvement and maintenance programmes, ensuring that they meet service standards and agreed budgets.
- As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, present to Board and Services Committee, offering recommendations in accordance with the Asset Management Strategy.
- Develop high quality policies, procedures and systems relating to Property and Development Service.
- Advise tenants and other PBHA teams on strategy and future policy implementation.
- Propose appropriate partnership development opportunities to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery, collating information for monthly, quarterly and annual performance metrics.
- Respond proactively to complaints regarding services, staff and contractors.
- Develop and implement new procedures in response to legislation changes and emerging best practice.
- Aid team in creating and maintaining good working relations with landlords, contractors and professional consultants.
Person specification:
- Experience delivering and improving Repairs and Maintenance Service, preferably for a Registered Provider or Charity.
- Substantial project or change management experience.
- Experience developing specifications for property related tenders and managing contracts.
- Revenue and Capital Budgets experience.
- Staff management experience.
- Building related qualification and professional body membership, e.g. RCIS/MCIOB, degree or HND in building management.
- Knowledge of project management, e.g. PRINCE 2/APM Techniques.
- Experience of housing development issues, funding, approaches and financing.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Prioritisation and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong IT and data management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Communication skills, specifically with stakeholders.
