THE ROLE: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) - Permanent - minimum of four days on site (ideally five days) and one day from home, Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700 with one late shift per week

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Supported Housing Manager at , our 24 hour supported housing service located next to Dapdune Wharf (National Trust) and close to the cricket ground in Guildford. The Foyer houses up to 33 young people who have multiple and complex needs, including many who are unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people. In delivering the role, you will be responsible for:
-- Service Provision: Responsible for the daily operations of the service so that it meets the requirements of the service specification, and:
- reflects Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices
- identifies, maps and encourages the strengths and talents of each young person, enabling them to acquire the skills they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives
-- Leadership and People Management: Lead and manage a team, recruiting and inducting new staff, and supporting their performance to ensure high standards of service at all times
-- Partnerships: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner organisations that add value to the core, commissioned service (or have the potential to) attending relevant multi-disciplinary meetings as needed
-- General: Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality

You will already have experience of leading supported housing services, with proven experience in safeguarding in a supported housing environment. You will have a sound knowledge of the additional risks incurred by children and young people who have multiple, and complex needs due to their experiences and knowledge of trauma informed practice and how to create psychologically informed environments. In addition, you will be flexible, with the ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking and dealing with competing priorities. Ideally you will have knowledge and knowledge of Ofsted.

About the role and team
Working within the wider Supporter Acquisition and Retention teams, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging onboarding journeys for Shelter supporters, ensuring engagement is high throughout. You’ll be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the Individual Giving programme, making data-informed decisions to deliver outstanding supporter experiences.
Leading the team, and matrix managing other pipelines of work, you will be supported by the Head of Supporter Acquisition to deliver multiple projects concurrently. This role is crucial within the team, allowing the team to provide £20m of unrestricted income across Supporter Acquisition, Supporter Retention & Development, and Direct Dialogue.
About you
You will be an experienced Fundraiser, or have worked in a direct marketing environment, and be audience led and supporter centric.
You will also have:
- An understanding of how to develop engaging supporter journeys from point of recruitment
- Strong people skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and with flexibility
- Effective project and campaign management skills, with experience of managing multiple projects or campaigns at once

We're hiring a specialist women’s refuge, Deputy Service Manager. Someone who really cares about the rights of women and their children to join our new service in West London. This role is an opportunity for a leader to support and manage a refuge accommodation for women and children surviving domestic abuse many of whom are living with trauma .
The service provides a much needed safe space and support for women to feel empowered in their healing journey and to feel secure in their independence, strength and skill. The successful candidate will support in leading the service which spans over 3 buildings and will develop their team which consists of support mentors and children and family workers. We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way.
You will support the Service Manager with having overall responsibility of your service and team, aiming to deliver a high quality, trauma informed service to your residents. Your role is to ensure full contract and regulatory compliance whilst being a role model/leader for your team to achieve KPI's and other requirements as per the service needs.
Shift/Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week in service Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, you may also be required to work outside these hours as per the service requirements and needs. You will also take part in our on call service.

- Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.
- Ensure a provision of high quality housing management service is provided to residents.
Financial Management
- Support the Service Manager in managing the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
- Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
- Maintain financial management within the service.
Other
- Some of what else is included: Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- It is an occupational requirement that the post holder is female
- Knowledge of the needs of women experiencing domestic abuse and will have strong leadership and team development skills.
- Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
- Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
- IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software.
- Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders

The Your Community team’s goals and objectives are:
- To deliver effective and efficient estate management services that respond to their customer concerns

The role
The Your Community Manager’s role is to be the organisation's subject matter expert on tenancy management. They will provide low level housing related support through an ongoing relationship with customers throughout the life of their tenancy linking them to additional services and referring into more in depth support as and when required. You will manage of team of approximately 15 colleagues including line management support for two team leaders and the Customer involvement Team.
Your team will deliver housing management services to general needs and care and support housing customers.
You will deliver these functions in line with corporate aims and values, policies and procedures, meeting KPIs and outcome measures relevant to your role whilst remaining focused on providing excellent customer experiences and partner relationships as an ambassador for our client to enhance the organisation’s reputation.
Your team will support their customers who are victims of ASB and domestic abuse ensuring that referrals and support identified within risk assessments are delivered. You will remain up to date on investigation progress and ensure customers are kept informed so that they remain supported throughout the experience.
Identify, access and refer customers in need or at risk in relation but not limited to safeguarding, neglect or hoarding to appropriate services and remained involved in subsequent agency meetings (e.g. Child Protection) where appropriate to support your customers.

- Qualified to NVQ level 4 or equivalent, in Housing or other relevant qualification.
- In depth knowledge of Housing legislation in relation to management of social housing.

The Specialist Housing Advocate will work within a dynamic, fast paced team to provide intervention, advocacy and support that empowers women and ensures that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. This is a new and exciting service, and we are looking for someone passionate about ensuring that all survivors of domestic abuse are able to access safe and appropriate accommodation which meets their needs.
To be successful as the Senior Specialist Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
You will bring solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms; coming from a sector with transferrable skills or possess a feminist/VAWG higher level qualification.
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

The Outreach Team work in a person centred way, finding people who are currently homeless, or rough sleeping. The hours of the role at 5am to 1pm (there is some room for flexibility on this, however it must be early morning). We cover the entirety of Bedford, including rural areas, so the post holder must have a valid UK driving license, with access to a car. As we also cover town centre locations, the ideal candidate has to be able to walk fair distances, in all conditions (between 10 and 15,000 steps per day). Our ideal candidate has great interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt their approach to suit the needs of the people that they are supporting, including being able to liaise with other services within SMART and other key stakeholders. The right person for this role has an understanding of the key issues facing someone who is homeless and is able to work in a creative way to engage with people from all backgrounds.
KEY TASKS
- To be friendly and approachable and provide outreach support to those who are homeless in Bedford.
- To be able to keep calm and de-escalate any challenging behaviour.
- Work alongside Bedford Borough Council to find housing solutions for those who are rough sleeping and/or homeless.
- Be organised in your approach, keeping accurate records on our internal Case Management System (InForm).
- You must be comfortable using all aspects of Office, including Excel.
- Support and encourage individuals to access specialist support, where desired, e.g. GP treatment and advice, Mental Health support, drug and alcohol support, harm reduction advice.
