What’s the role?
As a Governance Officer, you will be able to provide a highly organised and effective governance and administrative service to our internal customers and the Board as well as working collaboratively with other teams in the business and act as the main point of contact for the Governance team.

As a Maintenance Officer you will carry out a range of general health & safety room checks, cleaning, building maintenance and caretaking tasks. The role will report to and support the Facilities Manager in the delivery of planned, reactive maintenance and cleaning tasks. You will ensure a clean and welcoming environment for residents, employees and visitors by providing a repairing, maintenance cleaning service in order to keep the various buildings and grounds to the highest standard, whilst minimising the need for external contractors.

The Job
As their new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor, you will be providing support to colleagues, managers and their EDI panel to achieve their goals. You will be delivering against key targets in their EDI strategy and ensuring they have a colleague base which is representative of the communities they serve - especially in relation to ethnic diversity.
To ensure we deliver our services in line with the needs of the communities we serve the main responsibilities of your new job will be (but not limited to):
- Providing professional and consistent EDI support and advise on a range of issues (e.g. HR Process, customer policies and core business approaches)
- Facilitate and support their Diverse Heritage forum and any other EDI forums
- Attend business panels and forums as required to lead EDI initiatives
- Provide advice and guidance to managers regarding Equality Impact Assessments
- Review delivery approaches to give advice and guidance on required improvements
- Work with Learning and Organisational Development colleagues to ensure learning interventions are appropriate, prioritised and targeted
This is a full time (35 hours per week) Hybrid role, although they expect regular office attendance to support collaboration with colleagues. Please note that while your working hours will generally be during normal office hours Monday to Friday, there is highly likely to be occasional out of hours work to support committees or specific activities related to EDI.
This role is currently based at their head office, and they are very excited to be moving to a brand new purpose build head office in Clifton, Nottingham later in 2024.
About You
Apart from your passion for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion you will:
- Have considerable experience in a similar role providing advice, coaching and support at all levels.
- Be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of employment equality legislation and key case law to provide sound guidance and expertise, as well as committed to continuous development and understands the benefits of having a diverse workforce.
- Have good analytical skills to interpret data for proposing relevant interventions.
- Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who can build positive relationships at all levels as well as challenge and influence others.
- Be organised and able to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload

Development Manager (Land & New Business/Delivery)

Our client is committed to building high-quality new homes that help people to live better lives. They are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join their Partnerships team as a Development Manager, working within their Land and New Business & Delivery team.
What’s the role?
You will contribute to identifying and acquiring new opportunities for development, both independently and in partnerships with others.
You will be able to take schemes from inception and feasibility, through planning and delivery, whilst maintaining scheme viability and undertaking the necessary approvals and reports to keep schemes compliant with our internal governance procedures.
What are they looking for?
The ideal candidate for this role will have recent and relevant experience in procuring and delivering new opportunities within a similar role. As such, you’ll be able to demonstrate a level of skill in delivering sites and maintaining excellent relationships by working collaboratively with partners within and outside the Group.
Essential:
- Have experience of preparing development appraisals & risk registers along with appraisal software (ProVal LS and bespoke business plans)
- Have a good level of skill in developing and maintaining excellent relationships, working collaboratively with both internal and external partners.
- Possess the ability and skills to negotiate at a high level, being mindful of relationships and the local political environment.
- You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle, with insurance cover for business use.
- Knowledge of end to end housing development and relevant financial, legal and statutory requirements.
- In depth knowledge of the housing sector.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and ProVal.
Desirable
- Degree level education or equivalent through relevant training and/or experience.
- Relevant professional qualification e.g. RICS, CIH, MBA and/or evidence of continuous professional development.
