We are looking for a passionate and experienced Communications and Research Officer to run the communications and marketing functions. Working closely with the Chief Executive and the Executive Team, the main purpose of this role is to raise the profile of the work and impact of our organisation to key stakeholders. Using multichannel marketing and an array of communications, including creating and editing content for the website, newsletters, social media channels, email communications and print collateral for a portfolio of projects, you will play a key role in promoting Housing for Women.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Contributing to the development and implementation of integrated communications and marketing strategies for Housing for Women
- Assisting in the development and implementation of new marketing materials for Housing for Women
- Proactively managing the Association’s social media presence
- Maintaining an up-to-date Housing for Women website
- Creating content that is engaging and tailored to its target audience
- Developing the staff internal communications platform (Yammer) as an effective internal communications tool, including ongoing maintenance and updates
- Maintaining up-to-date research/articles to support policy development and communications briefings

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Experience of working within a communications environment
- Experience of copywriting for different audiences and channels
- Experience of creating and editing digital content for multiple platforms and channels, e.g. websites and social media
- Experience in producing newsletters, Annual Reviews and marketing collateral
- Experience of partnership and stakeholder management, supporting positive internal and external relationships
 
We aim to conduct telephone interviews on Friday 13th March 2020 and final face-to-face interviews on Thursday 19th March 2020.
