Working alongside staff and volunteers, you will help create a safe, welcoming and empowering space where residents can feel respected, supported and encouraged to move forward positively.

What you’ll be doing

As a Project Worker you will play a central role in supporting the day-to-day running of the service while building positive relationships with residents and volunteers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment
• Supporting residents using a person-centred and trauma-informed approach
• Carrying out wellbeing, safety and building checks
• Managing safeguarding concerns and responding calmly to incidents
• Supporting residents with practical needs including bedding, toiletries and clothing
• Encouraging resident participation and engagement within the community
• Supporting and guiding volunteers in their roles
• Maintaining accurate records, reports and handovers
• Helping uphold health and safety, confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to reduce homelessness in the local community

• A proactive, solution-focused mindset

Desirable

• Experience working within the charity sector
• Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessments

We have an opportunity for a Children and Young Persons Independent Sexual Violence Advisor to join our team covering the Lincoln and surrounding area working 22.5 hours a week with the option of additional hours up to a maximum of 37.5 to September 2026.

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to provide quality support to children and young people who are victims and survivors of sexual violence. You will be responsible for completing comprehensive initial needs and risk assessments, developing and delivering personalised safety and support plans for clients, many of whom have additional vulnerabilities and have complex needs.

You will need to be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with the Police, statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver the best possible outcomes within a multi-agency setting. As well as being tenacious in support of your clients and adept at problem solving.

To be successful in this role you will need to be approachable, flexible and caring, demonstrating empathy at all times. You will have had lengthy experience of direct service delivery (casework) with people with complex needs (ideally with children) and will have a good understanding of the impact of sexual violence offences on victims and survivors and of safeguarding issues. You will also have an excellent understanding of and commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities and diversity.

IT literacy is a must and candidates must evidence both the ability to use bespoke packages and excellence in their recording practice. If you do not possess an ISVA accreditation, we will fund this learning as it essential for the role. The role also requires enhanced DBS and police vetting.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. Ideally the successful applicant will reside in or within easy reach of Lincoln, West Lindsey and surrounding area.

We are seeking a resilient and compassionate Triage and Early Intervention Officer who is motivated to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of people aged 16+ affected by crime. Working within an empowerment-focused, trauma-informed framework, you will assess support needs and risk, deliver tailored short-term interventions, and maintain clear, professional boundaries at all times.

About the Role

As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer (TEIO), you will carry out comprehensive assessments of impact and risk to inform the development of individualised, structured support plans, delivered in line with VS's Service Model.

You will also contribute to the delivery of the local helpline and undertake a range of administrative duties. These include processing invoices, supporting the management of social media channels, and completing health and safety checks. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for service users referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed
• Carry a caseload of service users who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally
• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld
• Empower service users to enable them to make informed choices about their future options
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service

About You

You will need:

• Understanding of the impact of crime on victims such as stalking, domestic abuse, sexual offences, hate crime and anti-social behaviour
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s)
• Ability to balance competing needs and priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders
• Personal resilience to manage exposure to highly emotional or sensitive demands of the role
• Ability to use generic IT applications competently
• Administrative skills

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced welfare benefits advisor with a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting vulnerable people.

This post is providing maternity cover until 31 December 2026 – or until the early return of the substantive postholder.

With around 4 in 10 beneficiaries, we support seeking help with financial difficulties, this is a pivotal role for Kidney Care UK.

You will be working remotely providing income maximisation and energy advice and support for kidney patients in the UK, supporting them to achieve better financial security. Working closely with Patient Support & Advocacy Officers, provide informed and compassionate support to provide excellent outcomes for our beneficiaries.

Our external partners – British Gas Energy Trust have committed to fund our Money and Energy Service until March 2027. We anticipate confirmation by December 2026 whether funding will be extended beyond March 2027.
