Purpose of Role

To provide an effective and high-quality service directly supporting individuals affected by sexual violence ensuring service delivery and performance standards are maintained at all times. Specialist Caseworkers will be supported by a professional management team providing training, procedures, operational, Reflective Practice and 1:1 supervision.

Main Responsibilities/Activities

1. For all survivors accessing the service

· Provide direct emotional and practical support, promote the building of resilience to enable survivors to move forward from the trauma.

· Ensure that service users feel safe, supported, heard, and believed.

· Ensure timely contact with new referrals and complete an assessment of emotional and practical needs.

· Support and develop the understanding of the impacts of trauma.

· Provide information and resources to normalise responses to trauma and offer reassurance.

· Facilitate connections, where appropriate, with family, friends, educational settings, and the wider community

· Promote engagement with specialist support services both internally and externally.

2. Quality Assurance

· Maintain confidential client records, sharing and managing information in accordance with PRCCG Policies and Procedures

· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with agencies supporting survivors.

· Ensure survivors receive the best possible standard of support in line with Rape Crisis National Service Standards

· Attend and participate in regular Team Meetings, Peer Review Meetings, one to one supervision and Reflective practice.

3. General

· Participate in PRCCG training and development opportunities.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Working closely in a small and dedicated team, this is a critical position that will ensure the recruitment, engagement and progression of women who take part in our empowerment programmes. 

Location: SHED co-working space for 2 days a week or at venues in London for our core programme with women and option to work remotely 1 day a week 

Salary: £22,800 for 3 days a week (£38,000 FTE) plus a 5.25% staff pension subject to employee contribution of 1.75% 

Hours: Normal working hours are 9:30am-5:30pm 

Holiday: 15 days per annum (FTE 25 days)

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure:

• Effective outreach for recruitment onto our programmes
• That women’s programmes run smoothly and that their participants are motivated and supported to complete them through to graduation
• That those women who require 1-1 time with you are provided with this to ensure their safety and to make any referrals to external agencies where required
• All those we work with for the benefit of women on the programmes are engaged eg. short work placement hosts, mentors and venues for activities
• That evaluation data is collected and provided to evaluators/ researchers who edit final annual reports for programmes
• All data is kept accurate, appropriate and secure

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Timetabling online and face-to-face outreach to ensure women are recruited onto programmes in a timely way
• Being the key safeguarding lead at Friday workshops and ensuring that you make 1-1 time for any women who require it (alerting the Head of Operations and People and the CEO and wider team any issues or concerns that need addressing)
• Liaising with the Programmes Coordinator on the timely production of workshop materials and any other course content useful for participants
• Maintaining excellent relationships with workshop providers
• Ensuring that the Programmes Coordinator is across needs for any 1-1 therapy referrals between women and our float of freelance therapists
• Conducting evaluation surveys with women at the start, end and 6 months after they graduate and ensuring all evaluation data is provided to the freelancer responsible for collating the impact of our programmes annually in a final report, as well as providing any data required by the CEO for grant reports
• Signing off on mentor-mentee matches with the Partnerships Manager who recruits mentors
• Working closely with the Partnerships Manager to ensure they are across which kinds of short expenses/ paid work placements with employers women want to access

PERSON SPECIFICATION

You will be someone who is naturally warm/ a people person, compassionate and enabling, and who also has fantastic project management/ organisational skills. You may come from a senior youth worker background or other front line organisations working with young vulnerable adults.

Essential:

• Substantial senior experience working with young, including vulnerable, adults
• Proven track record of project/ programme management experience to deliver successful learning/ educational events/ activities for young people
• Creative thinker with experience of conducting successful outreach for young people
• Experience of safeguarding with vulnerable individuals
• Exceptional people and relationship-building skills with those from a range of different backgrounds eg ranging from young women for our programmes to employers and other stakeholders who engage with our work and participants

We are recruiting for a Dementia Carers Support Officer who can make a positive difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the diverse communities of Redbridge by providing them with practical, emotional and health and wellbeing related RCSS services. Services include the development and delivery of peer social and learning activities to give carers a break and reduce the risk of acute isolation. 

The post holder will focus specifically on carers of people with dementia ensuring they receive advice and information and access key support services.  The post holder will also work closely with partner organisations to facilitate cross referrals for both the carer and the person with dementia.  A key requirement of the post is to feed into local strategic work to improve the support pathway for people with dementia and their carers including being a point of contact within Redbridge as well as attendance and input to relevant partnership boards and other working groups.

This is a job share post, working in close collaboration with the existing Dementia Support Officer. The post holder will also work with colleagues, to act as a bridge between carers and statutory services, contributing towards giving carers a stronger voice in speaking up for themselves and their peers. In this context and in collaboration with the Operations Manager and front-line staff, the post holder will also pay particular attention to the needs of older, isolated, vulnerable carers, aged 65 and over, who face social exclusion, cultural isolation, and hardship. Assisting carers to access and improve local health and social care services, thus improving the quality of their lives.

he Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts and foundations. The role is responsible for growing LDCT’s trust and foundation income by increasing the amount and longevity of funding from current supporters, as well as building a portfolio of new trusts and foundations through research, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, updating the Funding Matrix and making successful applications. Building good relationships with new funders including regular reporting, as well as good stewardship of existing funders, is an important part of the role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Delivering on fundraising priorities and targets for trusts and foundations income, including our current and future major appeals.
2. Researching, identifying, and prioritising appropriate trusts and foundations to maintain and convert a pipeline of new, prospective trusts and foundations.
3. Working with colleagues across the organisation to help shape projects for funding and creating strong Cases for Support to ensure effective applications.
4. Writing and submitting high quality targeted funding applications.

In this job, you will play a vital role in driving up awareness of the Mental Health Charter with businesses, organisations, and service providers across the borough of Barnet.

To begin with, you’ll use your organisational and project management skills to work with the steering group to create an action plan. With their support, you’ll use your operational communications experience to work with all partners to develop and create presentations and other promotional materials, such as flyers and posters. You will also take photos at engagement activities for partners to promote the project on their respective social media platforms.

Then, using your excellent interpersonal skills you will build on existing relationships with key stakeholders and create new ones. Travelling around the borough of Barnet you will proactively approach, encourage and support a diverse audience of businesses, organisations, and service providers to make pledges to the charter and later follow up on their progress.

Scope are looking for a personable Online Community Coordinator to join our Online Community Team.

You will work on our online community and help make it a safe and supportive place where disabled people can make friends and talk about what is important to them. 

Permanent, part time, 28 hours a week (some evenings and weekends required).

The hours for this role will be worked according to a rolling shift pattern between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Location: Scope's office bases are London office (Here East, E15 2GW) or Scope's Leeds office (LS1 5SH) but the role will involve working remotely for most of the time.

The role

You will work within a team to moderate, create and coordinate content, information, newsletters and manage volunteers.

You will form a key part of the wider online community team by:

• Moderating discussions
• Welcoming, engaging and supporting members
• Signposting members to useful resources
• Sourcing and creating new conversations and content
• Recruiting, training, managing and supporting volunteers
• Escalating safeguarding concerns

After your training period, you will be able to work confidently and independently on our online community in all aspects of the role.

About you

About the role

This is an exciting and varied role where you will work alongside the Senior Community Fundraiser and focus on engaging with community members, organisations, and supporters to secure financial contributions. The Community Fundraiser will engage with potential donors, volunteers, and supporters through various communication channels, including in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and social media. Your role will be to actively steward supporter relationships in your region, and across the country as needed, and implement effective fundraising strategies. This includes setting fundraising goals, identifying target donors, and planning fundraising events or campaigns.  Part-time or full-time considered for this role.

The Actors’ Benevolent Fund supports professional actors and stage managers in times of need, and in 2022 we spent over £1.6M on charitable support. We have created a Marketing & Engagement Coordinator post to help us achieve this ambition, through managing and increasing engagement with the charity’s members and other stakeholders.  This includes assisting the Marketing and Engagement Manager with the planning and execution of marketing, branding and advertising strategies to better promote the ABF to all our stakeholders across all communications channels. Ewelme Almshouse Charity, founded by the Duke and Duchess of Suffolk in 1437, is seeking a part-time Warden to safeguard the welfare and independence of its residents, monitor our three locations and nurture the health and wellbeing of our almshouse community. We are looking for a people-person, someone who is compassionate, and attuned to the particular needs of the elderly. In addition to an excellent, sector-leading salary and benefits package, the Charity provides accommodation for the Warden in an attractive 2-bed cottage adjacent to the Cloisters Almshouse in Ewelme village.

The successful applicant will: 

- Have direct experience of working with older people, preferably in a similar environment.

- Have a background in social care, health and/or wellbeing. 

- Have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to empathise with others.

- Be able to work on their own initiative, as well as being a key part of a small team.

- Have a clean driving licence, own a car, and be willing to travel between our almshouse locations.
