About Us
Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse is a national charity bringing communities together to end domestic abuse. Standing Together pioneered the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) approach in the UK in 1996. The CCR is a multi-agency partnership model for keeping survivors safe and holding abusers to account. These agencies include the police, faith communities, criminal justice partners, housing, local authorities, social services, and health.
The Whole Housing Approach (WHA) is part of the larger CCR and brings together under one umbrella stakeholders involved in the delivery of the main tenure types, housing options and initiatives and specialist domestic abuse services needed in a local area to help survivors of domestic abuse access safe and stable housing.

About the project
The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance is partnering with the Drive Partnership and Respect to develop and deliver the Early Intervention and Accommodation Programme funded by the Home Office and Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).
The Pilot Project aims to improve responses to families experiencing domestic abuse that are being supported by Children’s Social Care (CSC) via a co-ordinated multi-agency response to ensure that the perpetrator is held responsible and accountable for change. This is centred on increased safety and space for action for child and adult victim-survivors.

About the role
This post will work with the pilot programme partners and the wider Standing Together Housing Team to leverage system change in housing’s response to perpetrators of domestic abuse, including the development of potential accommodation pathways and models for perpetrators of domestic abuse as a part of a Whole Housing Approach that meets the safety and housing needs of victim/survivors.
The post holder will be employed by DAHA and will work within the wider Standing Together Housing Team, which includes our DAHA Accreditation and Membership team, our Whole Housing Approach team and our Housing First and Homelessness Project team.
The post holder will:
undertake action research into the issue of perpetrator housing, identifying opportunities for change and the barriers to overcome.
build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders including local authorities, voluntary sector partners, housing providers and people with lived experience, to bring together diverse perspectives and co-develop models for change.
work with partner colleagues and stakeholders to develop and implement new models.
support partners to create sustainability and scale.

Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term

Location: Office based with the option for some home-based working. Will require travel to the London local authority pilot sites and other partner meetings when and where required.
Standing Together is committed to ensuring our workforce is reflective of our diverse population and is therefore committed to increasing representation of staff from black and minority backgrounds across all roles and at all levels. We strongly encourage applications from within black and minoritised communities.
