The Finance and Operations Manager is a key member of Tara Theatre’s team, overseeing the company operations and financial processes. They work alongside a Freelance Finance Director and the Executive Director.
Tara Theatre is a company limited by guarantee, and a charity. It has two trading subsidiaries, Tara Productions and Tara Enterprises. We currently have an annual turnover of circa £1 million.
We manage our finances and payroll in-house, using Sage accounting system.

About the Role

About You
We are looking for a highly organised, self motivated, experienced administrator with a keen eye for detail. You will have excellent numeracy, IT and communications skills and enjoy working independently mostly on a remote basis and as part of a small team supporting the work of your colleagues. You will have a flexible approach, adapting to changing priorities, whilst maintaining accuracy and clarity in your communications. What We Offer
The post is offered on a part time basis at 15 hours per week, initially as a fixed term contract till 1st May 2026 when it is hoped that this will be extended due to longer term additional funding. An attractive package is offered alongside flexible hybrid working arrangements with up to 2 days per month in the office based in London, reasonable travel expenses will be covered. The salary for a full time post at this level is £26,000 to pro-rata £10,400 per annum.

About Deptford X
Deptford X is a visual arts charity based in Deptford, South East London, we foster artistic talent and nurture community within the borough of Lewisham and beyond. We achieve this through a free festival in Deptford, working with hundreds of artists to locate art at the centre of everyday life for all of the area’s communities, and ongoing activity supporting artists and our local communities year-round. Founded in 1998, Deptford X is London’s longest-running visual arts festival.
This is a crucial and exciting time to join Deptford X; in 2023 the organisation turned 25 and also became an Arts Council England NPO. Job Responsibilities
The General Manager is integral to the management of Deptford X and the delivery and development of its ambitious programmes. The General Manager works closely with the Director and Board of Trustees as part of a small and supportive team to contribute actively and creatively to the development of the organisation, as well as overseeing daily and organisational operations. The General Manager supervises office management, communications, administration, financial management, staffing, programme delivery logistics, reporting and evaluation; and works collaboratively with the Director on strategic and financial development, including embedded environmental sustainability. In addition to the above, the General Manager will lead on developing and dynamically integrating Deptford X's access and care agenda.

Job Purpose
Your legacy will be a tangible impact on slowing down climate change and helping nature recover by providing operational support to help Avon Needs Trees (ANT) to achieve its goals to plant hundreds of thousands of trees and enhance complementary habitats.
You will join a fast-growing organisation that started in 2019 with four volunteers and has grown to a staff team of thirteen (which will double over 2024), over 1,000 volunteers and ownership of 170 acres (soon to be 600 acres) of land that will grow woodlands of over 160,000 trees.
We are looking for a positive and organised person with strong operational and administrative skills to help take ANT prepare for exponential growth over the next year.
Main responsibilities
● Supporting the Head of People and Operations with operational tasks (including safeguarding, health and safety), HR functions (including recruitment) and office management
● Supporting the Chief Executive and other Heads on administrative and operational tasks as required
● Supporting the implementation of ANT’s woodland projects by providing operational support, minute taking, meeting scheduling and other tasks as required by a member of the Senior Leadership Team
● Supporting the Finance Manager with finance tasks as required
● Work with the Governance and Compliance Officer to ensure the administrative smooth-running of the charity, supporting the team in a number of agreed areas

The role will help coordinate and manage collaboration across the entire organisation and between teams at UK100. The Operations Officer will manage the office space, plan team events, support staff onboarding and recruitment, and drive HR and internal policies and procedures such as DEI, Ways of Working with various systems, IT security and GDPR. Key responsibilities:

Maintaining UK100’s Customer Relationship Management system, including making updates that change front end form and function, coordinating with the service provider for training and updates and supporting UK100 staff in using the CRM.
