The Organisation Development team exists to enhance the health and effectiveness of Tearfund, enabling people to flourish and reach their God-given potential. We do this by leading OD, cultural transformation and change management initiatives, prioritising ED&I, supporting leadership development, monitoring and acting to improve employee engagement and providing strategic Wellbeing and Learning and Development support to the organisation.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and support in change management and Organisation Development, working on a portfolio of projects across Tearfund to address corporate priorities and strategies.
You will focus on people aspects of change, including how operational processes, structure, systems, technology and organisational culture support or hinder desired change. This position also provides advice and support aimed at building organisational cohesion, capability, health and agility across Tearfund.
You will work in close collaboration with other members of the People and Culture Senior Management Team, with Tearfund's broader Global Leadership Team and members of the Executive Team.
Essential experience, knowledge and understanding required:
- Developing and implementing successful Organisation Design and Development strategies
- Leading EDI at senior management level in a complex global organisation
- EDI best practice in a global context and ideally in a global development context
- Managing major organisational change and transformation work in a complex, global organisation
- Successfully implementing culture change interventions
- Cross-cultural engagement
About you:
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage, advise and influence senior stakeholder relationships
- Organisational research competencies, in particular the ability to collect, analyse and integrate quantitative and qualitative data; and use these to develop Organisation Development and change strategies

As Human Resources Officer in the Office of the Directorate, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing the human resources functions within the Foundation. This position is integral to the
Foundation’s governance, strategic direction, and operational effectiveness, with a significant focus on the HR aspects of finance, operations, and personnel management.

The programme
The Office of the Directorate is headed by the Director-General of the Foundation, Dr Anne T. Gallagher AO. In addition to providing overall leadership, it brings together core functions related to governance, finance and people management.
The role
The Human Resources Officer, under the guidance of the Senior Office Manager (People and Finance), plays a crucial role in managing and executing the human resources functions within the Foundation.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the administrative aspects of recruitment and selection
- Overseeing staff induction processes
- Overseeing HR administration along the entire staff life cycle
- Maintaining and reviewing HR procedures and employment policies
- Acting as the point of contact for HR-related advice
- Managing monthly payroll processes
- Participating in Foundation-wide initiatives
The individual
We seek an individual with demonstrated experience in human resources within a dynamic professional setting. They should have a solid understanding of UK employment law and practices, supplemented, if possible, with CIPD qualifications. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to build relationships across the organisation and a commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive work environment.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic, reliability, independence, and the flexibility to adapt to new challenges and learn new skills.
What we offer
Salary expectation: £31,000 – £33,000

We are based in Marlborough House, Pall Mall, central London. We are currently operating a flexible working policy which requires all staff to work from the office at least five days per fortnight including every Wednesday, and applicants must be able to affirm their capacity and willingness to work within this policy.

People Officer
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £39,358 - £41,325 with excellent benefits

The WaterAid Global People & Organisational Development team (The People Team) plays a critical role in helping WaterAid realise its goals. We lead on the development of strategies that ensure that WaterAid people are aligned and engaged with our aims and objectives, and that they have the skills and opportunities to maximise the impact they can make.
About the Role:
As our People Officer, you will work across the UK People Team to provide excellent administrative support across the full spectrum of HR including policy, processes, systems, employee benefits, payroll and general UK People Team projects and initiatives.
We support and enjoy a hybrid working environment. This role is a full-time, permanent role. Regular attendance (2 days a week) to the London office is required to enable you to connect with the UK People Team and colleagues from wider teams.
In this role, you will act as a central point of contact for all HR queries across the UK office. You'll be a key team player providing proactive and customer-centric responses to internal and external stakeholders, as well as ensuring our processes, systems and practices are accurate and efficient.
You'll also:
- Provide recruitment administration support on UK and global roles
- Support the team to report and analyse data
- Work with the Payroll Officer to ensure that changes are processed and provide checking support
- Act as the HR systems lead for the team ensuring the UK elements of the system run effectively, and the team and line managers know how to use it in the right way
- Work with the wider People Team on key initiatives and projects
About You:
- Experience of working as an HR administrator/Officer in a busy (office/ professional) environment whilst remaining calm under pressure.
- Strong customer service skills, dealing with a wide variety of internal/external customers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with fluency in English.
- Excellent IT literacy in MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Analytical, common sense and methodical way of working with an aptitude for problem-solving and excellent attention to detail.

People & Culture Generalist
The People & Culture Generalist – Internews Europe will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative tasks of the People & Culture (P&C) department. The role will support the People & Culture Manager – Internews Europe in ensuring efficient and best practice processes and procedures within the organisation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with other duties upon request:
The P&C Generalist - Internews Europe holds primary responsibility for supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, inductions, staff progression and compliance.
· Partnering with other members of the global People & Culture team to support hiring and recruitment processes.
· Overseeing onboarding processes for UK staff members.
· Acts as the initial point of contact for all IEU staff inquiries with regards to People & Culture policies, procedures, staff benefit, leave balances, and general enquiries.
· Working with other members of the PC team, supports annual processes, such as the appraisal and goal setting processes, insurance renewals, ethics program, etc.
· Managing the shared IEU-HR inbox and resolving / following up on staff inquiries and needs.
· Providing staff and manager coaching on employee relations issues as requested.
· Working together with global P&C staff, managing the information that is published to the internal website (intranet) for IEU, making updates and organizational changes as needed.
· Responsible for start-to-end new starter probationary review process, including scheduling meeting, distributing relevant documentation and collecting completed forms and feedback.
· Supporting development and periodic review of P&C policies where required.
· Responsible for timely compliance check and review including clearances, Right to Work, visas, and GDPR.
· Working with P&C manager to ensure timely update of the payroll spreadsheet, including new joiners, leavers, and all variable changes and ensures all associated processes have been carried out in line with the supplier agreement and in good time.
· Managing all employee leave processes, including annual leave, sickness absence, maternity, paternity, adoption, compassionate leave, etc.
· Leading and coordinating P&C responses on behalf of IEU to third party audit requests from donors.
· Supporting process and workflow development and data management within the Human Resources’ Information System as needed.
· Supports employee resource groups and material development, and leads staff working groups and task forces in support of Internews' Belonging, Dignity, and Justice work.
· Communicating all changes related to employee lifecycle to external payroll provider and finance staff as needed.
· Acts as primary liaison with payroll and finance team on any matters related to staff pay and payroll-related changes.
· Supporting, developing, and conducting staff trainings on People & Culture topics, policies, and processes
· Working closely with other members of the global People & Culture team to ensure the completion of standardized, efficient, streamlined People & Culture processes that supports a cohesive staff experience.
· Recommending new approaches, processes and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the PC department and services performed.
· Staying abreast of all UK legal and compliance issues.
· Other P&C generalist duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
