Summary of the role:
The HR Officer will be responsible for providing support to the Senior HR Business Partner and the wider People and Culture team in the delivery of HR services. The role will focus on a range of HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, aspects of payroll, L&D, travel logistics and other generalist HR duties. A key part of the role will be to provide support in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet all Muslim Aid’s staffing needs.
About the Role:
- Ensure a smooth, efficient and welcoming onboarding and probation process for new employees.
- Facilitate the recruitment process by assisting hiring managers in meeting departmental needs. Responsibilities include crafting job descriptions, posting ads, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare payroll amendment sheets for UK and International staff.

Strategy
· Support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in ensuring strategic workforce planning and change management in alignment with RMC’s overall strategy.
· The post holder must have a proven track record in managing complex HR issues such as grievance, disciplinary, sickness absence and other HR matters and be able to support managers in building effective working relationships.
Service Management
· Leading the provision of a comprehensive human resources service to ensure that we are recruiting the best employees and volunteers and supporting them to deliver outstanding services and other positive change for refugees and migrants.
· Managing RMC’s Human Resources in line with relevant service standards, key performance indicators and the human resources budget, ensuring robust plans are in place but also flexibility to cope with new needs, as they arise.
· Advising the SLT (CEO, Deputy CEO and Head of Services) and other senior managers on human resources matters and ensure all people managers in the organisation have the necessary skills and support to address complex employment issues e.g. in relation to sickness, performance and disciplinary and grievance processes.
· Leading on ensuring that all human resources policies and processes are adequate and reviewed regularly.
· Overseeing RMC’s performance management framework and advise senior managers on any remedial actions required.

Job Purpose:

Fundraising & Office duties

Provide excellent customer care/ donor stewardship in all interactions with donors.

Process donations in line with established receipting procedures.
Adhere to audit procedures and liaise with the Charity’s auditors.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our first in-house resourcing specialist, you'll lead on recruitment, talent management and workforce planning across our expanding, multi-site organisation. You'll also advise on managers on retention and succession planning, working with them to develop strategies to motivate and retain our staff.

LOCATION AND TRANSPORT: You’ll be based mainly in our Hatfield offices but with regular travel to Herts, Beds & Bucks. We’re happy to support home-working for two days per week, perhaps three. You need access to your own vehicle with business insurance (usually a cheap add-on from your insurer).
HOURS: You’ll work 37.5 days per week Monday to Friday. We can consider 30 hours per week (across at least four days) if you would like to work part-time.
ABOUT YOU: We're open-minded about sector, so you may come from a private, public, retail, corporate etc background. What we do need is:
- A passion for making things happen and stories of successes to prove it.
- Evidence of solid business-partnering experience in recruitment, workforce planning and talent management (this could be a generalist HR role but we are open-minded).
- The ability to work on lots of things at once and keep all the plates spinning!
- Strong writing and technical skills, including proficient use of Excel, plus excellent English writing and drafting skills.
- Data protection and basic employment law knowledge (relating to good recruitment practice, e.g. avoiding unlawful discrimination).
- Commitment to equality, equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging in all aspects of resourcing.

AAUK are seeking a HR & Payroll Officer to assist the Human Resources team in providing an efficient and legally compliant HR and Payroll function to ensure the highest quality of service. The HR & Payroll Officer will provide general administration across a number of core people management areas including pay, annual leave calculations and benefits and contractual matters.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the HR Information System data operations and provide a support point for employees with queries in these areas, as well as act as a coordinator for the HR team, providing high quality administration, providing reports and working collaboratively with the People & Culture team as well as cross-organisationally.

New Routes Integration
