About the role:
This is a hugely exciting role that will be part of Birthrights Senior Leadership team and play a key part in helping Birthrights’ meet its ambitions and achieve its potential. Birthrights
To date, fundraising efforts have been led by the CEO. We are seeking an experienced fundraising and business development professional responsible for co-ordinating Birthrights fundraising ambitions – including developing and delivering a new fundraising strategy that is aligned with our new organisational strategic framework. We want to strengthen our longer-term financial stability and ensure our fundraising aligns with our commitments to anti-oppressive practices.
About You:
You will be resourceful and organised, with the ability to build great relationships and have excellent co-ordination and administration skills. Your experience may be in one area of income generation or in many, but you will be able to see how you can draw on your experiences to shape and deliver a broader fundraising strategy.

Salary: £19,299.60 - £22,705.20 (Full time equivalent £32,166.00 - £37,842.00) per annum (dependent on experience) +Benefits!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Senior Bid Writer to join our Business Development team working on tender opportunities, tracking new and existing business and handling of new contracts for POhWER.
POhWER needs to increase and diversify its income to achieve greater financial sustainability. To do this we need to grow our services to reach new parts of the UK and new areas of work. However we also recognise the importance of retaining our existing contracts. To support this ambition we are looking for someone to support and work with our existing team.
Our Bid Writers coordinate the organisation’s response to all tenders. This includes re-tendering for our existing services as well as responding to tenders for services in new areas, or new services in our existing areas.
The role includes:
· Lead and co-ordinate tender activity ensuring that POhWER wins and retains new and existing services and contracts
· Take ownership of the bid response, style and format and overseeing it through the production process.
· Prepare and write tenders in a persuasive manner that takes full account of customer-specific style and content.
You will have excellent written communication, attention to detail and proof reading skills and a good knowledge of POhWER’s services. You will also have an ability to work to strict deadlines and a confident, flexible and positive attitude.

The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a pioneering Human Rights charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are the Survivors of extreme human cruelty and trafficking. Our clients have been subjected to atrocities including state-sponsored torture, human trafficking, religious and political persecution, forced labour, sexual exploitation, and gender-based and ‘honour-based’ violence. Recognising the complexity of each client’s suffering and needs, HBF offers specialist services within a Model of Integrated Care encompassing: therapy, medical advice, legal protection, counter-trafficking support, housing and welfare advice and community and integration.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As the Senior Grants Executive, you will be responsible for delivering income from a range of donors and prospects, with a focus on trusts and foundations, through the overall management and growth of a successful grants pipeline. We are looking for an ambitious fundraiser who thrives working in a collaborative team and who enjoys inspiring funders to support the Helen Bamber Foundation. You will be part of a Fundraising and Communications Team that has a successful track record of securing income and you will help to further grow the organisation.
You will be managed by our Grants Manager and work closely with the Head of Fundraising and will be responsible for delivering high quality applications and reports to small and medium sized Trusts and Foundations as well as supporting larger donors in collaboration with your team members. This role suits a proactive fundraiser who has experience in Trust and Foundations including prospecting, making successful applications, delivering high quality reports, stewardship and with an ability to develop and grow existing funder relationships.
