We are looking to recruit a bilingual, French and English speaking, Grants Officer to join our dynamic team of dedicated sexual and reproductive health and rights specialists. The Grants Officer provides support to the Grants Support Team and Grants Operations Manager across a portfolio of grants, ensuring grants move efficiently and in a timely manner through the grant management cycle. The Grants Officer will be trained to become an advanced user of our online Grants Management System Fluxx and will guide and support users who are less conversant with the system. The Grants Officers also support operational management of the fund with the development and maintenance of efficient operating and reporting procedures.
AmplifyChange is a bi-lingual fund. Due to the current team composition, fluency in French is required, as the postholder will support our Francophone grantees, who are based across West-Africa and occasionally the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The role is a Bath-based position and will work closely with team members in the UK and overseas, including our Grants Support Team, our Finance Team and our Fiduciary Risk Team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Using our online Grants Management System Fluxx, oversee a portfolio of grants through a grant implementation process from grant set up through to grant closure, ensuring compliance with internal procedures
- Act as the operational focal person for grantees and provide support throughout the grant cycle on contractual, operational and reporting matters, drawing on and coordinating expertise from the Grants Managers and Fiduciary Risk Team (FRT)
- Provide support in the preparation and implementation of new grant calls, and support the selection and Due Diligence process when necessary, responding to all applicants whether successful or unsuccessful
- Regularly monitor the completion of pre-contracting conditions by grantees, and obtain appropriate sign-off internally
- Coordinate, draft and issue Grant Agreements and Addendums using our online system
- Provide regular and up-to-date information to operational management by tracking and monitoring grants, and sharing best practice and lessons learned across the portfolio of grants with other staff members and stakeholder
- Track grantee reporting deadlines, supporting timely report submission by grantees
- Monitor grantee disbursements in collaboration with the Fiduciary Risk and Finance teams
- Support team members, grantees and external consultants to be confident users of the grant management system
- Contribute to the further development of our business processes and the grant management system, by sharing feedback and suggestions with relevant colleagues
- Respond to queries from grantees and third-party stakeholders via email

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:

REPORTING AND ORGANISATION
This is a UK based, full time (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, reporting to the Grants Operations Manager. AmplifyChange is based in Bath, and we operate on a hybrid working model. The Helen Bamber Foundation (HBF) is a specialist UK charity which provides expert care and support for refugees and people seeking asylum who have experienced extreme human cruelty such as torture or human trafficking. We work with hundreds of clients every year from all over the world. HBF delivers a specialist Model of Integrated Care that addresses the complex needs and vulnerabilities of survivors. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. You will be at the heart of an exciting team of experts, working as the face of HBF and the first point of contact for both external and internal queries. You will be a self-motivating team player, organised, efficient and have a compassionate mind-set.
The role will work closely with the other person in post as Client Services Administrator and jointly manage the workload. The role also includes assistance and general facilities support to the Senior Operations and HR Coordinator.

About the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Berks multi- disciplinary team, working up to 37 hours per week, minimum of 28 hours, starting salary £23,611 per annum, (pro rata).
In this exciting role you will be acting as an independent advocate supporting clients to ensure they get their voices heard. This may include providing advocacy across a number of different strands, such as the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and Mental Health Act.
What we need from you

Media Defence is a charity that helps journalists defend their rights. We support independent media, journalists and bloggers who are under legal threat by making sure that lawyers are available to defend them. We engage in strategic litigation to improve the regulatory environment for media freedom, make grants to organisations in various countries to run media defence programmes, support individual journalists facing legal action by covering their lawyers' fees, and build the capacity of the lawyers and organisations we work with on issues of media law. Role Summary
The Grants Officer plays a key role at Media Defence, administering the grants that Media Defence makes to partner organisations, helping assess grant applications, and helping with communications via social media and through other channels.
As Grants Officer, you will also manage and administer Media Defence’s financial grants and non-financial support to journalists facing legal action and identify new potential grantees.

Main Responsibilities
Grants Management:
- Manage Media Defence’s grant support work

Who we are
REDRESS is an international human rights organisation based in London and The Hague that pursues legal claims on behalf of survivors of torture in the UK and around the world to obtain justice and reparation for violations against their human rights. We represent survivors to access justice through human rights cases against governments, civil cases against individuals, instances when we call for human rights sanctions and advocate for law enforcement bodies to prosecute perpetrators under the principle of universal jurisdiction.
Our approach is strategic, so that as well as representing an individual we target the policy reasons that enabled the torture to take place, by building a campaign that uses advocacy, community engagement and communications to influence change.
Our 2025 Strategy identifies torture related to dissent and discriminatory torture as our two thematic priorities. We also support the anti-torture movement through our solidarity programme.

Position Profile
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Writing, editing and proof-reading content for REDRESS publications and other communications materials, such as press releases, newsletters, marketing materials.
- Helping manage our social media platforms and website by planning, creating and scheduling engaging content, including graphics and videos, and SEO content.
- Maintaining, and growing our GDPR compliant stakeholder lists.
- Manage engagement and regular communications with our supporters and donors.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of in-person and online events.
- Monitoring relevant data to meet deadlines and support with the preparation of performance reports.
- Assist with the management of the pipeline of REDRESS publications.
- Use an InDesign template to design some short publications.

Person Specification
This is an entry level position, and so we will consider candidates at the beginning of their career, with some relevant experience.
Essential Competencies
The successful candidate will need to have the following essential competencies:
- A relevant university degree or diploma or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience drafting content and adapting style for different audiences.

Terms
Reporting. The position is part of the Communications team and will report to the Head of Communications.
Hours. This is a full-time position at 35 hours a week. Evening and weekend work may be required from time to time.
Location. The position is based at the REDRESS office in London.
Flexible Working. REDRESS is an “in-person” organisation and we value team work, but we have a flexible working policy which allows for working from home. Staff are currently required to be in the office at least two days a week.
Salary. REDRESS has fixed salary scales, with annual cost of living increases, and the
possibility of step increases with strong performance. This is an entry level ‘assistant’
position, and the salary is £31,681 (A1 on our salary scales). There are annual cost-of-living
increases, and the possibility of a step increase with strong performance.
Duration. The contract is for an initial term of 6 months for maternity cover but is likely to be extended if funds are available.
Start date. The position would start end of April/early May.
Probation. There is a six-month probationary period (if the contract is extended).
Pension. REDRESS offers a pension contribution of 10% of the salary.
Holiday. There are 25 days of holiday per year, in addition to UK public holidays. The office

Status. The candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor a UK immigration process for this role.

How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Male Accommodation Advocate working in our safe- houses in Liverpool. In this role you’ll casework male service users living within our Safe-house. This role includes providing clients with emotional and practical support; advocating on their behalf, communicating with other organisations including but not limited to health professionals, legal representation and the Home office. You will also have some duties in relation to the accommodation, including cleaning and preparing client bedrooms for new arrivals. There is an occupational requirement for the applicant to be Male.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Case working service users identified as PVOHT (Potential Victims of Human Trafficking).
- Regular feedback and review meetings with Accommodation Coordinator.
- Arranging and attending appointments for individuals or families.
