Job description

The Director of Ceremonies, a new position within Humanists UK, will be responsible for developing and implementing business plans for Humanist ceremonies. And, creating and implementing strategies to grow the business to deliver 10% of all ceremonies by 2025.

The Director of Ceremonies has line management responsibility for the Ceremonies Training and Development manager. And will work closely with the Humanist Ceremonies Marketing officer and the Administration team who form part of the Celebrant helpdesk but also carry out the administration for the Ceremonies training courses.

Humanists UK is seeking someone who can demonstrate their leadership skills within a large organisation, business, or charity. To proactively apply business intelligence in developing, implementing and maintaining strategic business plans aimed at growth within the ceremonies market. The role holder will need to swiftly develop relationships with key stakeholders within the Ceremonies industry.

This position will be on a part time basis of 21 hours per week. Offering a salary in the region of £42,000 (FTE £70,000). Holiday entitlement is 15 days per annum (FTE 25) plus public holidays. This role will become permanent after a probation period of three months.
