ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Data & Analytics Manager is a new senior management position in the IBD Registry that reflects both our fast growth and increasing maturity. The primary function of this role is to manage the effective collection, curation and utilisation of clinical data, surgical data, patient reported outcomes and other relevant data. The goal is to ensure quality IBD data is available to support our goals in quality improvement, service evaluation, pharmacovigilance / post-marketing surveillance and eventually research. You will especially play a key role in the curation, transformation and linkage of the IBD datasets required for the Hub with the Cambridge data specialists.
You will be part of a small and growing and highly collaborative team, reporting directly to and working closely with the CEO, as well as with clinical and academic data specialists including our Academic Lead, a doctor and senior academic in the Health Data department of the University of Liverpool.
To be successful in this role you will be a delivery-focused problem-solver, both organised and adaptable, with massive attention to details and a practical hands-on style. You will have significant experience in data management across the data lifecycle, including ETL (using scripting languages such as Python, C#, JSON, XML), databases (primarily MySQL) and analytics environments (such as R/R Studio). You will have a strong academic qualification record, showing a disciplined numerate background as a foundation for your later experience in data. Ideally, you will have come from the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries, or as an alternative from a highly-regulated sector where both data protection and delivery are critical. You may have gained your experience in a large consultancy or in a start-up environment; in either case, your most important attributes will be your rigour in thinking, readiness to learn and your 'can do’ mindset.

Note: this role is home based during COVID-19. Our offices are in Epsom. We will be reviewing our company working arrangements after the COVID-19 pandemic, but candidates should assume that while there may be some home working it will be balanced with some days each week in the Epsom office.
