Job description

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is a global research and learning organisation for equitable and sustainable change, based in Brighton.

The Business, Markets and State (BMAS) cluster at IDS, in association with the IDS Centre for Development Impact (CDI) are seeking to appoint a Portfolio Research Officer. The role of the Portfolio Research Officer will be to contribute to innovative and high-quality research on the impact of development-oriented finance, particularly in the development finance and/or impact investing fields, working across several projects

Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the architecture of international development finance and of investment cycles and investor decision-making processes, and have a post graduate degree related to this subject area. The successful applicant will have experience or working with investment deals and investment analysis and be skilled in statistical analysis and managing large datasets.
