We are passionate about developing volunteering and sharing best practice so that everyone involved in volunteering has a great experience.

We are looking for someone to help local people get involved, and share volunteering expertise to upskill and offer support to community groups and voluntary sector organisations in West Kent.  

Your days will be varied as you will engage with individuals, groups and organisations, prepare e-bulletins and newsletters, create content for social media and websites, host forum meetings, promote volunteering initiatives and attend promotional events.   

You will provide guidance about the recruitment, management and retention of volunteers, and advertise volunteering opportunities through social media and newsletters, and signposting individuals and organisations to established websites and portals.

Applicants should be confident, organised and able to work independently as well as in a team. You should have experience of working or volunteering with community organisations, and be able to network and build effective relationships. Experience of volunteer management and knowledge of local and wider community organisations would be helpful.

The role is part-time (pro rata salary) with some flexibility on hours and days, so may suit someone working around children in school or anyone looking for a change in work/life balance. The office base is in Sevenoaks and the role covers the West Kent area, so you will need your own car.
