We are seeking a proactive, flexible, driven, and organised person to support our fundraising and communication activities. This role will be integral to the growth and development of our work and in supporting our members. About the role
This role will report to the Chief Executive. The post holder will look to secure income from different income streams (including individuals and organisations) through grants as well as donations, and to deliver communications with members and stakeholders to support funding needs as well as raise the profile of ILPA and our work:
40% - Trusts & Foundations and Lottery (& other grantmakers)
50% - Communications (includes Social Media)
10% - Corporate and Individual Giving (includes Major Donors)
We have a successful portfolio with trusts and foundations including, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Trust for London. You will be supported by the Chief Executive to continue managing these big bids and developing new project bids for the future.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and self-motivated to achieve success, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be experienced in charity fundraising, including grants/trusts. You will have experience in communication management, as well as the design and execution of suitable communication material including the drafting and preparing of grant requests/proposals. You will have had demonstrable success at engaging people to a cause and motivating giving and knowledge and understanding of how to utilise social media to develop ILPA’s brand and social media standing
