We are led by an experienced Board and executive team of lawyers, journalists, regulators and business leaders.  We are experts in tackling misinformation and discrimination in the media and in promoting transparency, trust and accountability.   Our approved regulator status gives us unique powers to set and enforce high standards of journalism on behalf of the public and to enact positive change, whilst at the same time upholding the fundamental freedom of the press. Our growing membership of 110 media organisations publishes 184 newspapers, magazines and news sites to over 16 million unique readers each month, reaching diverse communities across the United Kingdom.

 

We have exciting plans for continued growth and are expanding our business development, fundraising and marketing team to help us achieve this. You will join our team at a pivotal point as we prepare to build on our single core source of funding to attract new sources of funding and to diversify revenue streams.  

 

About the role

The Fundraising and Partnerships Manager is a new role. Reporting to the new Head of Business Development and Marketing, you will join our team dedicated to service development, revenue generation and growth. You will work in collaboration to develop and manage our fundraising activities for the benefit of IMPRESS members and the wider public. You will be responsible for creating fundraising strategy, identifying prospects and managing new and existing partnerships with major donors, trusts, foundations and corporations.

 

This position is based in IMPRESS’s smart offices in the heart of London, within a short walk of Blackfriars station.  During pandemic lockdown restrictions all staff have been working remotely and the successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly on both a short- and longer-term basis.
