Contract, Until 31st March 2023, extendable subject to funding, Part-time
Job description

This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

Are you passionate about the important role that community and faith groups play in their localities?  Could you support these groups to achieve their potential in the London Borough of Barnet?

With an awareness of the local landscape and the challenges the sector faces, you will play a key role in providing support to community and faith groups in Barnet. We are looking for someone who would enjoy working with them to provide resources, advice, and support around fundraising, organisational and business development, planning and governance.

The focus of your work will be ensuring that the widest number of community and faith groups have access to support, and you will also spend some time representing the sector at different meetings.  If you think you could support even the smallest groups effectively, whilst also contributing your knowledge to building the big picture of activity in Barnet, then do get in touch.

This is a varied and rewarding role, and you will be able to make a real impact for the sector.  You will become part of a friendly and supportive team, working within a focused but flexible culture, where diversity is valued and you can bring your whole self to work.

As a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation, we always welcome applications from disabled candidates, but lived experience of disability is not essential for this role.  However, the candidate will need a commitment to the social model of disability and a passion for thriving, inclusive communities.  We also welcome applications from BAME candidates, who are currently underrepresented in our organisation.

The role will be part remote, but the successful candidate must be able to be work from our Colindale office if needed and travel to meetings around the Borough of Barnet when required.

To apply, please submit your CV with a brief covering letter clearly stating how you meet the person specification.

This is a fixed term contract until the 31st March 2023 in the first instance, extendable subject to future funding.
