Are you a fundraising guru with knowledge of charity governance and development? If so, the Barnet third sector needs your support!
As you will be well aware, Covid-19 has brought unprecendented challenges to the charity sector. Just when need is greatest, resources are hard to come by and many charities face real threats to their sustainability. To answer this need, we require someone able to advise on all aspects of fundraising to ensure our vital local organisations keep delivering. If that's you, you'll be aware of the London funding landscape, able to quickly identify opportunities and point organisations in the right direction. You'll also be happy to roll your sleeves and review and re-write bids as required, and you'll relish the challenge of helping to develop and shape partnerships to keep maximise the impact of our fantastic sector.
Ideally, you will also have a good knowledge of third sector governance and the issues small organisations face, and be able to advise confidently on a range of queries.
In return, you will get the opportunity to work in a unique organisation - one that delivers both for disabled people and across community services in Barnet. You'll also find yourself part of a friendly and supportive team, both within Inclusion Barnet and across the Barnet Together partnership. .
Working 28 hours a week, you will have a certain amount of flexibility as to how you arrange your hours: we don't mind if you want to work four long days or five short ones. You can work from anywhere in the UK, but an ability to visit our headquarters in Barnet after lockdown would be advantageous.
This is a fixed term contract until the 20th January 2021 in the first instance, extendable subject to future funding. The post is funded through the generous support of the National Lottery Community Fund.
Disabled candidates who demonstrate how they meet all the essential criteria in their application letter willl be guarenteed an interview. We also particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates, who are currently underrepresented in our organisation.
