Job description

We live in a country with an ageing population – by 2040, 1 in 4 people in the UK will be 65 or over.  Independent Age exists so that people can continue to live life on their own terms. We exist to ensure people can enjoy being independent, financially secure, healthy, active and connected in older age.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to join us and help us make an impact on the lives of older people. This role is jointly responsible, along with the Senior National Delivery Manager for the North, for the delivery of our national Face to Face Wellbeing Services with a particular focus on local friendship services that combat isolation and loneliness.

Candidates should have demonstrable experience of managing staff and volunteers to deliver a comparable national service in a not for profit or other relevant context, with a proven track record of developing relationships with local government and sector specialists.  The role involves regular travel including overnight stays.

Independent Age is committed to safeguarding and this role will require a DBS certificate.
