We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and proactive English for Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL) Teacher with experience in teaching children to deliver weekly face-to-face or online classes for recently arrived Spanish/Portuguese speaking children. The ESOL Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering creative and interactive ESOL classes as well as run a weekly bilingual Homework Club for children aged 5-7 years old and 8-12 years old.
The majority of children who access IRMO activities are not yet in school and our sessions are often the only time they can learn English and interact with children their age. It is therefore very important that the ESOL Teacher understands the challenges migrant children face, is able to run classes with children of different levels of English and is familiar with delivering sessions both face-to-face and online.
Our ESOL classes aim to equip children with the English Language skills they need to thrive and perform well at school, reach their full potential, make new friends, socialise and reduce isolation.
Availability in the afternoon and after school hours is essential for this role. We expect to have a blend of face-to-face and remote sessions so we require that the post-holder can easily travel to our offices in south London.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
