Information rights are an increasingly important aspect of our society, whether that involves data security, protection from nuisance calls or rights of access to information held by public bodies.
The ICO is the UK’s independent public body focused on upholding information rights in the public interest. We are at the forefront of policy, guidance, direct advice to the public, and enforcement of the UK’s data protection and freedom of information laws; shaping how emerging technologies and information practices impact the lives of the UK public.
Our organisation has grown significantly in size over the last two years. This unprecedented growth means there is a continued need to have the right infrastructure in place, ensuring that we maintain the right people - in the right roles, with the right skills, and in sufficient number to meet the considerable demands placed upon us.
