Founded in 1981, INQUEST is the only charity in England and Wales providing expertise on contentious deaths and their investigation to bereaved people, lawyers, other advice and support agencies, media, parliamentarians and the general public. Our range of cases includes custody and detention, multi-agency failings or where wider issues of state and corporate accountability are in question, such as with Hillsborough and Grenfell. About the role
INQUEST has almost doubled in size over the last four years. As a result, we are recruiting this new role to support our development and operations in several areas, primarily fundraising, monitoring & evaluation, human resources and project management. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to come and join our values-based organisation and support it in its next stage of development.
The successful candidate will be an experienced in project planning and in administration, and an excellent communicator. They will enjoy taking initiative and being proactive while working under supervision.
They will have a good understanding of logistics, and will apply it to support all aspects of the organisation’s work and in developing its capacity and efficiency. They will also have project management experience and knowledge of the funding landscape in the charity sector.
They will they will undertake administrative tasks in order to streamline and organise INQUEST’s work and provide support to the Operations and Development Director, as well as other staff.
