Job description

Charities in the U.K, more than ever, are having to rely on non-statutory sources of funding to deliver services for the vital causes they represent. In order to be effective in their fundraising, it is vital their fundraisers possess the right knowledge and skills to be effective in their roles.

The Institute of Fundraising (IoF) is the UK’s pre-eminent professional body for fundraisers, and through the work of the IoF Academy we provide qualifications and short courses to enable fundraisers to raise vital funds for their causes.

Reporting into a Senior Professional Development Officer (SPDO), we are looking for a Professional Development Assistant (PDA) to have day to day operational responsibility for all of our professional development courses. This includes liaising with customers, processing bookings and logistics for both online and offline professional development activities. In addition, the PDA will liaise with the IoF’s volunteer groups to ensure successful delivery of our Introduction to Fundraising course, as well as project manage the IoF Academy’s graduation ceremony.

In order to be successful in this role, you have to possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and have a customer-centric approach to everything you do. The role also requires someone to be highly organised, proactive and adaptable.

The IoF is on an exciting journey with lots of exciting change such as the implementation of a new CRM system and website, as well as the potential award of Chartered Status.

There has never been a better time to join us!
