Job description

This is an exciting role that enables the Events Coordinator to ensure the smooth, timely and cost effective organisation of allocated one-day Events, and provide effective administrative support for the team. The Events Coordinator is responsible for liaising with the  organiser to ensure the event is organised to time and budget, and meets the expectations of all those involved. This role will also provide on-site support which will at times involve travel and overnight accommodation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing event logistics i.e. booking and handling all arrangements with venues and service contractors and handing accommodation.
  • Preparing notices and final documentation for the conference and co-ordinating their distribution.
  • Working with appropriate staff in London to co-ordinate the design and production of all promotional materials for the conference.
  • Working with organisers and appropriate staff to create effective marketing and publicity strategies.

The Person

We are looking for a driven team-player who has the ability to work co-operatively with others to achieve common goals. They must be customer focused and dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills are required to enable them to explore different positions and alternatives to reach outcomes that gain acceptance from all parties.

They will be proactive and able to think ahead to ensure the smooth completion of team/individual aims and objectives. They must be dependable, have attention to detail, excellent at multitasking and able to prioritise workloads.
