Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for an interim Leasehold Officer to join a large Housing organisation in East London. This is a great opportunity to work for a fantastic housing association that pride themselves in providing excellent customer service. The role will be for an initial period of three months.
As the interim Leasehold Officer, you will be responsible for dealing with all leasehold enquiries that are received within the target times. The main purpose of the Leasehold Officer is to be responsible for; service charge, major works and income billing and collection; deal with rent arrears and take appropriate actions to recover outstanding debts. You will assist with setting up new accounts for new shared owners and leaseholders, dealing with any requests from shared owners to staircase, providing a post-sale service to the organisations home owners. You must be able to deal with resale inquiries from solicitors, ensuring invoices are received from managing agents and carry out site visits on occasions.
The ideal candidate for this position must have leasehold management experience, experience of service charge, and be fully up to date with Section 20 procedures. Having knowledge of leaseholder legislation, service charge consultation regulations and Right to Buy and/or Right to Acquire is essential. Having previously worked within a housing association or local authority is advantageous.
