We are seeking a skilled Programme Officer to support the end-to-end delivery of our sector-leading mentoring programme, ensuring participants join smoothly and are supported throughout. You will also support partners and donors to contribute to the delivery and expansion of the programme. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Inter Mediate
Inter Mediate (IM) is a unique and discreet London-based peacemaking organisation established in 2011 to support behind-the-scenes peace negotiations in some of the world’s most challenging conflicts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the senior management team of a small high-impact organisation working at the leading edge of international peacemaking.
Reporting to the Deputy CEO and working closely with the CEO and the Financial Director, the Operations Director will lead Inter Mediate’s institutional, Human Resources and project-support systems to keep the organisation running smoothly and ensure we are equipped to deliver the best results.
A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with senior management experience in operations, preferably for a non-profit organisation. You will be familiar with the fast and sometimes unpredictable pace of an international operating environment, and confident in handling challenges as they arise. You will be comfortable working collaboratively within a small team and engaging credibly with a wide range of people from senior government officials to project interlocutors in the field.
Key Responsibilities
A) Governance and Institutional Compliance (with the Deputy CEO and senior management)
- Lead the development and implementation of IM’s operational planning, in coordination with the CEO, Deputy CEO, Finance Director, staff, Trustees and supporters.
- Ensure that Inter Mediate complies with its charitable and legal obligations.
- Prepare, attend and minute Trustee and Committee meetings.
- Develop and implement quality improvement process for institutional policies and project delivery to keep Inter Mediate ethical, efficient and delivering value for money.
- Source, manage and review all professional services and suppliers engaged by Inter Mediate including banking, legal advice, accounting and auditing.
B) Human Resources and Office Operations
- Oversee Inter Mediate’s recruitment process and work with the Deputy CEO to ensure that we have fair procedures for benefits, training, probation, diversity and inclusion, gender pay gap, safeguarding, grievance and disciplinary matters.
- Oversee the contracting and on-boarding for new staff, consultants and trustees.
- Manage day-to-day HR functions and queries, including leave recording systems.
- Conduct staff remuneration and salary benchmarking exercises with the Deputy CEO.
- Update and maintain the employment handbook policies and procedures.
- Oversee office operations, equipment and facilities management.
C) IT, Security and Risk Management
- Ensure that the IT and communications systems are optimally configured for effectiveness and security, and that staff can operate them as necessary.
- Ensure Inter Mediate has robust risk mitigation systems and training for staff.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and security plans are completed by staff prior to staff travel.
- Ensure Inter Mediate has a viable business continuity plan.
- Maintain and review the Risk Register for the organisation with the Deputy CEO.
D) Financial Management (with the Finance Director)
- Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure that operational and financial planning processes and decisions are mutually informed and fully aligned.
- Strategise with the Finance Director and Deputy CEO to ensure all wings of the organisation work together to advance the best interest of the institution, its staff, projects and donors.
Experience, qualifications and skills:
- At least 8 years experience leading charity operations at a senior level spanning institutional compliance, Human Resources, IT, security and project support services, ideally in the non-profit sector.
- Track record of excellent business decisions for institutions under UK charity law operating in an international, multi-donor environment.
- Extensive experience of supporting Boards and Board committees at a senior level in a non-profit context.
- Some knowledge of project support mechanisms required for smooth delivery of peacebuilding, humanitarian, human rights or political projects in high-risk environments.
- Evidence of ability to both lead and service a complex network of external relationships.
- Graduate with a relevant degree and, preferably with relevant post graduate qualifications or relevant experience.

- Excellent business planning and decision skills, and a sound understanding of operational and financial management in charities.
- Proven commitment to designing effective and enabling systems for organisation management in support of effective delivery

Working at Inter Mediate
A normal working week consists of 35 hours (or pro rata for part-time). Our office operates between 8am and 6.30pm with core hours from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Inter Mediate operates a hybrid working model, with at least 2 set days per week in the office in London.

Summary of the role:
The HR Officer will be responsible for providing support to the Senior HR Business Partner and the wider People and Culture team in the delivery of HR services. About the role
Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team. JOB PURPOSE
The role will support the research activities of Start Network and its programmes and initiatives.
Working within the Evidence & Learning team, the Research Officer will conduct research, interpret data and communicate findings across of a range of programmes and initiatives which support evidencing the impact and learning of Start Network activities. These could involve supporting in the design and administration of data collection projects; as well as cleaning, processing, and analysing primary data and literature and desk reviews. The successful applicant will require basic research skills and additional skills will be learned on the job through guidance provided by the other members of the Evidence & Learning team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Research

Lead and support with undertaking research, including desk reviews, conducting landscape analyses and literature reviews using a range of materials and sources, including online platforms.

Support with the design and implementation of data collection tools for primary data (e.g., surveys, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews) and secondary data collection.

Work with both qualitative and quantitative data, including interview transcription, data cleaning, processing, and analysis.

There is scope to work from home some of the time. The cost of travel to BMS Didcot whether on a regular basis or infrequently, would be borne by the employee.

Job Purpose:
The Fundraising and Administration Officer role primarily focuses on providing excellent supporter care and administrative support within the fundraising department. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining supporter relations, optimising fundraising efforts, and ensuring efficient administrative processes are in place.

Supporter Care:
- To be a first point of contact for the Fundraising Department, answering the phone and meeting and greeting people who arrive to the office.

Schools2030 teams and partners across 10 countries and globally generate a considerable amount of evidence and data essential for programme learning and impact. • Contribute to Schools2030’s resource mobilisation, proposal development and donor reporting by drawing in relevant Schools2030 data and insights as needed.
• Contribute to AKF’s global indicators framework and integrate Schools2030 evidence and impact into wider AKF Education Improvement Programme priority areas of focus, including, but not limited to education access, quality, and systems-level change.
• Incorporate key research, evidence and data from Schools2030 partners (and beyond) about best practices related to advancing holistic education in and through teacher agency and leadership.
• Conduct regular reviews of Schools2030 data and evidence to inform decision-making, identifying emerging trends or issues, and recommending adjustments to programme strategies and activities as needed.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including Schools2030 donors, as well as other key stakeholders, including academic institutions, to share findings, solicit feedback, and foster collaboration in advancing Schools2030 goals.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in education, international development or a relevant field; Doctorate preferred
Skills
• Proven track record in synthesising and analysing complex data and evidence across different countries or contexts and from different research/study designs
• Experience in quantitative and statistical analysis
• Experience in digital data collection, analysis and visualisation software, for example PowerBI, Microsoft Azure
• Excellent writing skills, including extensive experience preparing and delivering reports
• Highly effective communicator, including extensive experience preparing and delivering presentations
• Experience coordinating partnerships and/or projects across diverse contexts
• Able to work to deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities
• Ability to provide clear, stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communication when dealing with external organisations, senior colleagues and community members
• Ability to communicate AKDN/AKF values and strategic plan effectively to partners and colleagues
• Ability to pro-actively problem-solve, work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with numerous and competing deadlines

• Demonstrated expertise in education and international development research
• Understanding and knowledge of the global education sector and key institutions
• Understanding of the importance of holistic quality learning outcomes, including the role of social and emotional learning for advancing country-wide progress for SDG4
• Demonstrated success in distilling key insights from a variety of data sources to inform and influence local, national and global policy agendas relevant to the education sector.
Experience
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in global education and international development research, monitoring, evaluation and learning
• Experience in communicating and disseminating evidence and results to external audiences, including for resource mobilisation
• Experience of managing relationships in complex organisations with numerous stakeholders
• Strong connections to and experience working with senior leadership in global education/development agencies
