We are looking to recruit a Conference & Events Coordinator (Programmes) to join our friendly team to help strengthen FIGO’s Events team to develop an expanding portfolio of large-scale and high-profile Congresses and events, and to help develop a long term FIGO Congress and events strategy. This involves day to day interaction with FIGO Committees and Working Groups, FIGO Member Societies, Regional Federations, Supporting Organisations (e.g. the WHO and UN) and events venues and suppliers around the world.
This is a fixed term appointment (until December 2021) subject to annual performance review.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
General and professional education
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent work experience in a related area)
Knowledge and experience
Experience of working on conferences / events (both planning, and on-site)
Experience of working with event organisers and other event suppliers
Experience of working with senior academic committees / groups and high-profile individuals
- Experience of working within an internationally focused, membership led organisation
Direct experience of organising international conferences / events e.g. within not for profit, medical, scientific or academic sectors
Experience of working with international contacts and flexibility with regard to working with contacts in disparate locations and time zones
- Experience in coordinating scientific programme of large events
Skills, abilities and attributes
Proven ability to work with a diverse and cross-cultural range of stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
Adept at proactive planning and forward thinking
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks concurrently

- Ability to communicate in a second language would be an advantage
- Experience in different accreditation schemes in medical field
- Knowledge of event management software, video conferencing software, virtual events platforms
- Project management skills
Any other requirements applicable
- Willing to travel internationally as required
