Job description
This organisation supports anonymous recruitment. That means hiding your personal identifying information, removing bias from the hiring process.

This new role will refine and embed improvements to MEAL in a fast-growing charity that is helping improve access to medicines worldwide, saving lives and preventing avoidable suffering.  International Health Partners (IHP) supports people in hard-to-reach, vulnerable and disaster-hit communities to get the medicines they need, by coordinating the safe and responsible donation of long-dated medical products. We work with our strong network of global healthcare, logistics and NGO partners, to source and send treatments to where they are needed most, to help prevent the needless suffering caused by a lack of access to healthcare.  Our work is needed now more than ever. The global outbreak of COVID-19 has further highlighted the urgent need for improving access to medicines and for strengthening health systems.

In 2021, we shipped over 14 million medical treatments to vulnerable communities in 32 countries, supporting nearly 7 million people in countries such as Lebanon, Somalia, South Sudan and Venezuela. IHP has been collecting organisational output data, partner feedback and impact stories for many years but we are at the point of introducing a new framework to give greater coherence to this approach.  There are good levels of commitment in the organisation to these improvements.

As a ‘service’ organisation meeting the needs of our NGO partners around the world is critical.  To make this work effective we also need to meet the needs of our corporate partners who donate the medical products.  So this role will collect and analyse data on both sides of our operations as well as looking at the efficiency and effectiveness of our delivery.   This delivery includes our logistics work – the sending of our shipments – as well as our quality management and support for our partners through knowledge sharing and our innovative new software platform that matches products and need.  Hence this is a truly organisation wide role and will be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping an organisation be as impactful as possible.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to see the big picture and analyse trends as well as gather and crunch the data. We are looking for an internal advocate for M&E with the people skills to work across teams - leading, training, advising and supporting.

IHP is an Equal Opportunities Employer. Staff regularly spend time together praying for IHP’s work and there is therefore an occupational requirement that this position is held by a committed Christian. Please make it clear in the application how you meet this requirement.

If you would like to work in a great organisation and have a big impact please apply now.  The closing date for all applications is midnight 8th June.  However applications will be reviewed as they are received, and as such, suitable candidates may be invited to a conversation with IHP ahead of the closing date.

We are advertising this as a part time role, approximately 21 hours/week but we have some flexibility.  We offer excellent benefits including a company pension scheme, employee wellbeing and benefits support, training, development and a generous holiday entitlement. Our newest staff describe our culture as 'compassionate', 'dynamic' and 'rewarding', a place where you will be supported to 'thrive professionally and personally',  In short, IHP is a great place to work and the role we play is genuinely rewarding.

Application Instructions

Please submit a CV and a covering letter of no more than two A4 sides outlining how you meet the person specification. This should include reference to how you meet the occupational faith requirement and confirmation that you have the right to work in the UK. Applications without a covering letter will not be considered.
