Job Description

Marketing and Communications Manager

Nepal has some of the poorest people and communities in the world. Lack of resources, remoteness of villages and discrimination caused by gender, caste, disease or disabilities are some of the reasons that trap people into a life of exclusion and poverty. At INF we believe that all people deserve a fair chance to thrive, contribute and to play an equal part in their community.

About INF

The International Nepal Fellowship (INF) is one of Nepal’s longest serving international NGOs with decades of experience working with poor and disadvantaged people and communities. Formed on missionary principles in 1952, we have developed into a forward-thinking and impactful organisation, supporting a cutting edge hospital, community health and development programmes that reach diverse and hard-to-reach groups in some of the poorest and most remote parts of Nepal.

We have drawn up ambitious plans to significantly grow the scale of the projects we support in Nepal, so that we can make a much bigger impact and reach more people. In order to achieve the desired impact we are looking for an exceptional individual to help us raise the profile and brand awareness of INF in the UK, and to grow our annual income to £1.5million by 2022.

About the role

You will be joining an energetic team with an entrepreneurial outlook and be part of a senior leadership team who will drive the organisation to the next level. Your will lead the Marketing and Communications Team to raise the profile of INF’s work amongst key audiences in the UK through the development and implementation of relevant communication and marketing strategies.

About you

You are an expert in media relations, social media, digital and direct marketing and have worked in the charity sector for at least three years. You are experienced in motivating your team to high performance, and have a track-record in delivering successful marketing and communications strategies to raise a charity's presence and generate income from fundraising.

The closing date is 2nd June 2019, interviews will take place in our Birmingham office on 10th and 11th June. Successful candidates will be invited to a second interview w/c 17th June.

We are looking forward to receiving your CV and a covering letter to describe your suitability for the role. As this role has a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) for the candidate to be a committed Christian, please include in your letter how your Christian faith impacts your life and work.
