Title: Project Driver/Office Assistant

Location: Nwoya, Uganda
Contract: 24 month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 35 hours per week, with some weekends included
About the role
The purpose of the Project Driver/Office Assistant role is to provide logistical support to the Anyim Maber Project, by driving staff and visitors when required, to ensure maintenance and safety of the project vehicle, and to complete clerical duties so that the office is running efficiently.
Further duties for the Project Driver/Office Assistant role include;
Driving tasks
- Undertake driving assignments for Sightsavers staff, project visitors and consultants as required.
- Provide logistical support to the Nwoya PIU
- Drive Sightsavers staff and visitors for project visits in the programme areas as required.
- Keep the project vehicle in clean condition, properly maintained and fuelled at the designated service stations.
- Ensure that vehicle logbooks are properly maintained and compile summaries on vehicle movements and fuel utilisation as per monthly vehicle reporting form.
- Maintenance of vehicles.
Administrative tasks
- Undertake courier or dispatch tasks and duties payment of bills, mail collection, delivery & distribution of letters.
- Receive and direct Uganda Country Office (UCO) visitors in absence of the Project Officer, providing information where needed.
- Respond to general requests to Project Implementation Unit (PIU).
- In liaison with Programme Coordinator, distribute send documents to Partners.
- Provide administrative support in filing, photocopying, and binding documents.
- Logistical support during field visits - play lead role, take photographs.
- Undertake logistics of programme workshops and meetings.

To succeed in this role, you will need a UCE certificate or equivalent, and possess previous working experience in a similar roles within a reputable private firm or NGO.
Further required skills and experience include;
- Previous working experience as a Driver
- Previous administrative experience
- A clean and valid Ugandan driving licence (class A and E)
- Certificate of good conduct.
- Minimum 3 years accident-free driving record with reputable private firm or NGO.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.

MannionDaniels wishes to strengthen its Fiduciary Risk Team with the recruitment of a Francophone Fiduciary Risk Officer (FRO) to work between two of our funds:
· Gavi CSO Fund
· AmplifyChange Fund
The Fiduciary Risk Team works on the financial management of the funds and the grants. The team is responsible for ensuring that funds under our management reach beneficiaries and are used for their intended purpose. In doing this, the team carries out due diligence assessments on all prospective grantees, analyses the financial reporting and forecasts of grant holders, and works to prevent and investigate fraud across the portfolio.
This is a very rewarding role where the successful candidate will work closely with both the grant management team in MannionDaniels as well as the grant holders themselves. The role will provide support to a Fiduciary Risk Manager and will be responsible for leading on the financial management of a portfolio of grants. The position includes the opportunity for travel to visit grant holders and beneficiaries.
We are looking to strengthen the management of our francophone portfolio, and as such French language skills are an essential requirement.
Volunteer and Schools Engagement Coordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented, motivated, and versatile Volunteer & Schools Engagement Coordinator based in Scotland.
Position: Volunteer and Schools Engagement Coordinator
Location: Home-based in Scotland, ideally Central Belt, with regular travel throughout Scotland
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £22,050 per annum

About the role:
The role is home-based and will involve travel throughout Scotland, including overnight stays, plus occasional travel to meetings elsewhere in the UK. There will be the occasional requirement to work evenings and weekends. Key responsibilities will include:
- Recruit Volunteer candidates through the delivery of inspiring presentations within schools, youth organisations and career fairs.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of Project Trust’s digital engagement and recruitment strategy.
- Participate in the selection, training, and debriefing of Volunteers.
- Administrative tasks associated with all the above.
- Within the job holder’s skills and abilities, support the Volunteer & Schools Engagement Manager and CEO as required in other tasks or activities which contribute to the achievement of Project Trust’s objectives and its development.
- Travel to attend meetings elsewhere in the UK, plus some weekend work required.

- Good judgement and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and a variety of social media platforms.
- Ability to travel within a designated region of the UK and to other parts of the UK as required.
- Ability to work remotely from a home base.
- A full clean driving license and use of a vehicle.
- The right to work in the UK.
About the organisation:
The employer is an education charity with over fifty years of experience in international volunteering for young people. They organise challenging, long-term placements for 17–25-year-olds with partnership organisations in Africa, Asia and the Americas.
They annually select up to 260 young people from across the UK for eight to 12-month teaching and youth development projects around the world.
