The NI is looking for its next Events Officer to oversee the setting up and online booking of a range of events – mainly conferences and dinners – as well as overseeing the subscriptions to its Journal. The role is a busy one and the person recruited with require good experience with events booking CRMs as well as working with volunteers and other team members in a small team.
Responsibilities
Main duties include:
Manage all event bookings administration, including:
o Set up of online booking for events through CRM
o Set up and maintain webpages for each event through CMS adding sponsor logos and additional information as required.
o Ensuring invoices for events are issued and paid, updating any on CRM that were issued manually including sponsorship events
o Ensuring relevant communications such as joining instructions are circulated to attendees
o Issue sponsorship contracts, invoices and monitor payments of same
o Providing support for delivery of events including producing delegate lists, dietary requirements etc

About the Team
Amongst other key systems, the ALM team supports two critical CRM solutions which underpin our engagement with both our clients and supporters. We’re also part of the Business Enablement team within Shelter’s Technology & Data (T&D) Department. T&D consists of 30+ people based across the country, with bases in London, Sheffield and Edinburgh and is accountable for developing and leading Shelter’s technology and data strategic priorities and providing a secure infrastructure. About the role
Working as part of a team with a diverse portfolio of skills, as a Dynamics Support Analyst you’ll have plenty of opportunity to deepen your knowledge of our CRM systems, as well as expand into other areas. The Benefits Specialist role is essential in supporting disabled households receive the benefits that they are entitled to. We want to see disabled people and their families have an equal standard of living to non-disabled people. In this role you will develop and deliver training sessions and provide secondary support on more complex benefit queries.
Fixed term until March 2026, 35 hours per week.
Location: Working at Scope's Leeds office and working from home (hybrid)
In this role you will be:
- Delivering and continually update training for energy advisers to ensure expertise in benefits advice.
- Analysing enquiry trends to inform training development and report on service enhancements.
- Ensuring timely, high-quality responses to benefits enquiries.
- Tailoring information delivery to individual needs, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Staying informed on disability-related legislation and welfare benefits to provide authoritative advice.
- Analysing inquiries to tailor training and develop robust management information.
- Creating accessible, informative content to meet the evolving needs of disabled individuals and their families.
About You
- You will have strong experience and up to date knowledge of welfare benefits to provide accurate information and support to disabled people. Demonstrated Skills in Training or education, particularly in a support or service context
- You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to be able to communicate difficult and complex information. A strong ability to convey complex information in an accessible way and engage diverse audiences.
- Adaptability and resilience: Ability to respond positively to change while being able to work effectively with conflicting priorities.
- You will be highly organised with the capacity to manage multiple priorities when delivering training sessions and one-to-one support. A collaborative team player, capable of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products. Excellent attention to detail when using databases and proficient in data analysis for service delivery improvement.
- You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families.

We are looking for a Careers Adviser to join our Career Pathways team in Leeds. Career Pathways provides careers advice to disabled young people. It supports them in their transition from youth to adulthood.

Career Pathways equips young disabled people with knowledge and confidence. The service enables them to fulfil their career aspirations and personal goals.
As a Careers Adviser you will be giving careers advice to young disabled people in schools across Leeds, at our office and online. We are offering a hybrid model of delivery so working from home for part of your week is available.
About you
- You will have experience of supporting young disabled people to build their confidence and work towards their goals. This could be in either an education or social care setting.
- You will have the confidence to deliver 1:1 and group sessions. These will take place in person and online.
- You will be able to produce clear and relevant action plans. These action plans will aid customers to explore and achieve their career goals
