Condensed hours, part-time (min 3 days/week) and job share will be considered
Location: Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW with working from home most of the time (Approximately one day a month in the office).
The role
In this role you will:
- Develop a strong Trust portfolio of small and medium Trust donors. And to deliver growth for FY 22/23 and beyond.
- Identify new Trust prospects who are aligned to Scope's aims. Develop actions to attract and secure new income form multi-year funders.
- Develop and implement an annual small Trust mailing.
- Support the Trust team colleagues on large multi-year bids.
- Provide excellent supporter stewardship. This includes ensuring everything from prompt acknowledgements, tailored updates, reports, regular mailings, formal funding applications, invitations and creating and delivering engagement opportunities.
- Work with colleagues from other teams to develop high quality applications and reports.
- Utilise our new CRM capabilities to record supporter engagements and maximise team efficiencies.

- Have previous Trust fundraising experience.
- Be familiar with the donor cultivation cycle.
- Be organised, methodical and accurate in a busy environment.

To deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. Focus on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.
Fixed term for 2 years, 35 hours per week.
The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and may also include some Saturdays.
There are 3 positions available
Location: Based at Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW.
The role will require travelling in London and East Anglia and also offers remote working around meetings and workshops.
The Role
In this role you will be:
- Planning and delivering engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
- Providing one-to-one support to individuals requiring more in-depth assistance, including conducting home energy assessments and offering tailored advice.
- Collaborating with local organisations and stakeholders to identify and reach out to communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
- Developing and distributing educational materials on energy saving, bill management, and the benefits of renewable energy sources.
- Tracking and evaluating the impact of community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of energy sector developments, including changes in legislation, available grants, and best practices in energy conservation.
About You
- You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to be able to support communities and individuals who would benefit most from energy advice and support.
- You be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative energy support workshops within local communities, tailoring content to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
- Showing empathy and being able to respond positively to change while being able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities will allow to succeed within this role. The service will help customers through their unfair extra costs and additional vulnerability to fuel poverty.
- It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office Products and are confident user of digital technology demonstrating a positive approach to the adoption of innovative products and tools. You will be able to track and evaluate the impact of your community sessions and one-to-one interventions, adjusting strategies to improve outreach and support effectiveness.
- You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving the lives of disabled people and their families. It is desirable that you have a good knowledge of Energy and Utilities advice. If you do not already have the qualification, you will be trained to a Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness.

This role is responsible for the comprehensive management of Oxfam GB’s technology infrastructure, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of innovative technology solutions that enhance our impact and improve the way we do our work.

An ideal candidate for the role will have:
Essential Criteria
- 10 years+ proven leadership experience in a Technology Director or similar role and ability to both manage and inspire a team of technology professionals responsible for the platforms that support over 16 countries and Oxfam GB’s retail shop network and fundraising.
- Deep understanding of various technologies, software, hardware and systems to enable Oxfam GB to make informed decisions and guide our technology strategy.
- Ability to think strategically and align technology initiatives with the organisation goals and objectives. Able to identify opportunities for technology advancements that can improve Oxfam GB’s operations and impact.
- Strong programme and project management skills and ability to oversee the implementation of technology projects ensuring they are delivered on time within budget and that they meet the organisations requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with demonstrable ability to work closely with stakeholders and external partners. Should be able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experienced in budget and resource allocation and management to ensure efficient and effective use of technology resources within the organisation
- Ability to identify and solve technology related problems, make informed decisions and adapt to changing circumstances to navigate challenges and drive innovation
- Experience in managing an organization’s IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary
- Strong ethical awareness and understanding of data privacy security and responsible technology practises
- Committed to continuous learning and staying up to date with latest trends advancements and best practise in the field
- Genuine passion for Oxford is causing a desire to leverage technology to make a positive impact on society.
Desired criteria
- A bachelor’s degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or another related field with advanced course experience in mathematics, computer programming, and software development
- Experience of managing technology for a consumer retail business
- Several years’ experience managing employees within an technology environment
- Formal Prince II or equivalent project management certification.
