Job description

The role

This role will play a central role to help deliver the IT infrastructure and informatics strategy of the Breast Cancer Now Tissue Bank (BCNTB) at an exciting time of development.

Based in the Charity’s London office, this role will provide in-house expert data management for the Breast Cancer Now Tissue Bank (BCNTB), including developing and maintaining the central BCNTB database, Achiever Medical. This role will also work closely with researchers and data scientists at our Tissue Bank centres, to link with local sites’ databases for data transfer centrally, and setting and monitoring data-related processes, standard operating procedures and KPIs.

About you

You will have extensive experience of managing data, ideally patient or sample data in a clinical or research setting, and working with complex, relational databases.

You will have demonstrable experience of project management and motivating those within the project team, and will be a team player, working proactively with energy and enthusiasm. You should also have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to lead your own work. The ideal candidate will also show dedication to the Charity’s values and funding medical research.

About Us

We’re excited to announce that in April 2019, Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now united to create one charity for everyone affected by breast cancer. From research to care, our new charity has people affected by the disease at its heart – providing support for today and hope for the future. United, we can carry out even more world-class research, provide even more life-changing support and campaign even more effectively for better services and care.

By bringing together our passion, energy, expertise, funds and networks, we will make greater progress in more effective ways to make sure that, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live and receive the support they need to live well.

Breast Cancer Now is an inclusive employer committed to developing a diverse workforce.

Closing date and time: Monday 21 October at 12:00 noon

Interview date: Wednesday 23 October or Thursday 24 October
