Ivy Rock Partners are working with a large INGO who are leading the International Development sector when it comes to driving financial sustainability. The Head of Commercial Finance will play a vital role in the organisation as they develop programmes that will run self-sufficiently across multiple territories.
As a large organisation with the resources to play a key role in shifting the mode of operation for INGO’s, this strategy is part of a larger plan to address the Global power imbalance between the Global North and South in the International Development sector.
The Head of Commercial Finance will report into the Group CFO and will be responsible for working closely with the Executive Leadership Team. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Commercial division of the organisation, overseeing management reporting and presenting financial analysis to advise on key strategic decisions
- Managing relationships and business partnering with senior external stakeholders and donors
- Developing and improving tools and process to improve regional and global performance
- Managing ad hoc projects and identifying new areas of operation
We are looking for qualified finance professionals (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA) with a clear track record in understanding commercial, profit generating business models. Able to deliver effective management reporting in an accessible way to numerous Directors of departments, the Head of Commercial Finance should be able to understand the bigger picture and identify where more detailed analysis would be beneficial to the ELT. We are looking for candidates with strong excel / modelling skills and who combine a strong technical and analytical mindset with the ability to build credibility with senior internal and external stakeholders. This position will partially work with external parties, so strong negotiation and influencing skills are also required.
